MINISTER OF EDUCATION OF UKRAINE: ALL CONSTRUCTION, AGRICULTURAL, HIGH-TECH AND PEDAGOGICAL SPECIALTIES WILL BE PRIORITY IN STATE ORDER

Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Shkarlet says that when forming the state order for 2022, all construction, agricultural, high-tech and pedagogical specialties will be a priority.
“Today we are already working with the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Digital Transformation regarding the formation of a budget order for 2022. The focus will be on high-tech and post-war economic recovery,” Shkarlet said in an interview on Thursday morning’s national telethon.
According to the minister, the humanitarian block, highly competitive specialties: economics, social sciences, management, public administration, lawyers will not have a large share of state funds covered in the state budget.
At the same time, Shkarlet noted that builders, all agricultural, high-tech, pedagogical specialties will be a priority, including when applying to universities.
The Minister also stressed that the emphasis is on professional higher education.

DENYS MONASTYRSKY: MY MAIN PRIORITY AS INTERIOR MINISTRY WILL BE SAFETY OF OUR CITIZENS

Candidate for the post of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denys Monastyrsky assures that as the minister he will focus on the safety of citizens and strengthening the level of trust in law enforcement agencies.
Speaking from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada on Friday, he thanked President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky for his trust. “The main priority will be the safety of citizens, society, strengthening the level of trust in law enforcement agencies,” he added.
As reported, Arsen Avakov on Tuesday submitted a letter of resignation from the post of Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, which the Verkhovna Rada supported on July 15.

UKRAINIAN PRESIDENT: CREATIVE ECONOMY SHOULD BECOME PRIORITY FOR STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT

The creative economy should become a priority for the strategic development of Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said.
“The creative economy should become a priority of Ukraine’s strategic development. For this we have talented people, a unique cultural resource, we have a heritage. Now the creative industries are reminiscent of a Phoenix that rises from the ashes: it rises renewed, young, strong and adapted to a new life and to a new reality,” he said in his welcoming speech at the Creative Ukraine IV annual International Forum, which is held on Thursday.
Zelensky said that the state, in turn, will do everything to make the new reality for the creative industry comfortable and the conditions as favorable as possible.

CENTRENERGO POWER GENERATING COMPANY IN TOP PRIORITY IN TERMS OF PRIVATIZATION – UKRAINIAN PM

PJSC Centrenergo power generating company is in the top priority of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine regarding “large-scale” privatization, Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk has said. “Centrenergo is in the top priority for privatization. And I want this company to be privatized by an external, real player. And the government will do everything for some kind of strong player to come here,” he said during the Kyiv International Economic Forum on Saturday.
He emphasized that the State Property Fund (SPF) is currently preparing the company for privatization.
“There is a manager there [in the State Property Fund] who does not depend on any oligarch,” Honcharuk emphasized.
Earlier, SPF Head Dmytro Sennychenko predicted the sale of Centrenergo in 2021.
