THIRD OF QUESTIONED COMPANIES ESTIMATE LOSSES FOR MONTH OF WAR AT MORE THAN $1 MLN – EBA

Ukrposhta has started paying pensions for April in all regions of Ukraine, including the difficult areas of Luhansk, Kherson, Chernihiv, Sumy and other regions, the company’s press service said on Wednesday.

The national postal operator notes that all clients served by Ukrposhta receive pension and payments specifically and in cash.

“If a person has changed their place of residence, the company has a mechanism for redirecting payments to any available branch. To do this, you need to contact the contact center of Ukrposhta or the Pension Fund and indicate the data of the new location. If a pensioner who previously received a pension from a bank does not yet have access to a bank branch, he can apply to the Pension Fund of Ukraine to receive a pension at the nearest branch of Ukrposhta or submit an application through the postman or at any post office,” the report says.

According to Ukrposhta, in March, the company delivered 85% (UAH 8.9 billion) of pensions in cash to cities and villages across Ukraine, where it was safe.

STATE-RUN UKRZALIZNYTSIA ASKS INVESTORS FOR FINANCIAL SUPPORT

JSC Ukrzaliznytsia turned to partners and financial donors with a request to provide non-refundable financial assistance for the company’s work in the conditions of war.
According to the company’s website, the funds will be used to continue evacuation and provide shelters to the civilian population, to help the company’s employees affected by military aggression, as well as to support the company’s activities during the military aggression of the Russian Federation.
“Against the backdrop of open military aggression against Ukraine, launched by Russia on February 24, which is now unfolding, Ukrzaliznytsia continues its work. The main priority today is to ensure the safety of the civilian population and its transportation to safer regions, to protect the life and health of workers. The Ukrainian Railways continues its activities, being at the forefront of humanitarian, evacuation and economic support for Ukraine,” the company said in a statement.
In addition, the company continues at its own expense to evacuate civilians from regions under shelling by Russian invaders. Thus, since the beginning of the war, more than 3 million people have already been evacuated to safer regions. In addition, cargo transportation is carried out to meet the needs of the state and business.
In addition, the company notes that Ukrzaliznytsia constantly records the facts of the destruction of the railway infrastructure and rolling stock. Risking their lives, railway workers are trying to quickly restore damaged equipment and tracks in order to ensure the continuous transportation of passengers and goods. Unfortunately, there are injuries and deaths of workers, members of their families, as well as the destruction of their homes as a result of attacks by the Russian military.

MORE THAN 10,000 VULNERABLE UKRAINIAN CHILDREN EVACUATED FROM AREAS OF ACTIVE HOSTILITIES DURING MARTIAL LAW

The Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine says that more than 10,000 children from vulnerable categories have been evacuated from areas of active hostilities during martial law.
“As of today, due to active hostilities, as a result of a large-scale military invasion of Russia in Ukraine, some 10,224 children from vulnerable categories have been evacuated. Of these, some 6,548 children are orphans, children deprived of parental care and other children who are around the clock in institutional care institutions under the jurisdiction of the Health Ministry, the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Social Policy,” the ministry’s press service said.
It is noted that another 3,676 evacuated children are children from vulnerable categories who are in family forms of education: foster families, family-type orphanages, in care, guardianship, in foster families.
According to the statement, some 4,425 children have been moved within Ukraine to safe areas, of which 3,640 are children who are in institutions of institutional care, and 785 children from vulnerable categories who are in family forms of education.
However, some 5,799 children have been relocated abroad, of which 2,908 are children in institutional care and 2,891 are children from vulnerable categories who are in family forms of upbringing.
Within Ukraine, more children have been moved to Zakarpattia, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk regions. There are also children in Dnipropetrovsk, Chernivtsi, Volyn regions.
As for evacuation abroad, most of the children from vulnerable categories were accepted by Poland, Germany, Romania, Czech Republic, Italy, Spain. There are also children in France, Austria, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Greece, Belgium, Latvia, Hungary and other countries.
“All evacuated children are safe, provided with housing, food, medical and educational services,” the ministry said.

MEMBERS OF THE UKRAINIAN NEGOTIATING GROUP CONTINUE THEIR WORK IN TURKEY, MEETINGS WITH TURKISH OFFICIALS ARE PLANNED – ARAKHAMIA

The Russian delegation left Turkey, members of the Ukrainian negotiating group continue their work abroad, said the head of the Servant of the People faction and the head of the Ukrainian delegation at the talks with the Russian Federation, David Arakhamia.
“In particular, on March 30, meetings are scheduled with Turkish officials, during which they will discuss cooperation in the military-technical sphere. After that, representatives of our delegation will return to Ukraine today,” he wrote on the Telegram channel.

HUMANITARIAN AID FROM GERMANY ARRIVE IN LVIV

Humanitarian medical aid has arrived for health care institutions of Lviv region from Germany, some of the medicines are provided for the needs of other regions of Ukraine, said head of the Lviv Regional Administration Maksym Kozytsky.
“About six tonnes of medical humanitarian aid from Germany were received in Lviv region. These are insulins of different types and hemostatic. For distribution, the cargo was sent to one of the pharmacy warehouses of the region,” he wrote on the Telegram channel on Wednesday morning.
According to Kozytsky, four health care institutions of Lviv region, two of which are children’s, will receive part of the medicines. The other part will be stored in a warehouse for further needs of both Lviv region and other regions of Ukraine.
He also added that the medicines were collected in different cities of Germany and sent from the hospital of the German city of Regensburg called Merciful Brothers on a centralized basis. They organized a fundraiser for the purchase of medical rubber aid by Dr. Hubertus von Voss and Michelle Merter.
Kozytsky also said that charity concerts are being held throughout Germany, and for the proceeds from them they plan to buy another batch of medicine.
“The flow of aid to Lviv region was facilitated by the NGO Let’s Protect Ukraine Together,” said the head of the Regional Administration.
