METAL HOLDING REDUCES NET PROFIT BY 23% IN 2020

Metal Holding Trade LLC, one of the metal trading companies in Ukraine, in 2020 reduced its net profit by 23% compared to the previous year, to UAH 13.838 million.
According to the annual report of the enterprise in the information disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, the company in 2020 reduced its net income by 3.4%, to UAH 35.754 million.
Retained earnings over the last year amounted to UAH 123.036 million.
Metal Holding Trade LLC (Kyiv) is engaged in the wholesale trade of metals, and the production of metal structures.

UKRAINIAN COMPANY OPENS FIRST BAR IN ROMANIA

Holding !FEST has opened the first bar Piana Vyshnia (Drunken Cherry) in Bucharest (Romania), the head and co-owner of the holding Andriy Khudo has said.
“We opened a business in Romania. The first project, of course, is Piana Vyshnia in the capital of the country, Bucharest,” he wrote on Facebook.
According to him, during quarantine restrictions, the institution is open on weekdays until 20:00, on weekends – until 18:00.
According to the information on the site, the Piana Vyshnia bars chain, in addition to Ukraine, is also represented in Poland (Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw) and Moldova (Chisinau).
Holding of emotions !FEST was founded in 2007 and develops a network of creative restaurants, coffee houses and shops in Ukraine.
The owners of the holding !FEST are Khudo, Yuriy Nazaruk and Dmytro Herasymov.

MCDONALD’S OPENS FIRST RESTAURANT IN IVANO-FRANKIVSK

Enterprise with foreign investments McDonald’s Ukraine Ltd. (Kyiv), which develops the American fast food chain McDonald’s in Ukraine, opened a restaurant of the chain at 2, Ivan Mykolaichuk Street in Ivano-Frankovsk on April 17.
According to the press service of the company, the new McDonald’s is designed for 185 seats in the hall and 82 seats on the terrace. The restaurant is equipped with two McDrive lines, delivery areas and express orders. The hall includes 12 self-service terminals and sorting stations for separate waste collection.
In addition, in May, it is planned to launch a robot transporter for the quick delivery of finished orders from the kitchen to the express orders window.
The company said that in addition to this, the opening of new McDonald’s restaurants is planned in Bila Tserkva, Lutsk, Khmelnytsky, Kropyvnytsky and Mariupol.
“Also, in the next two years, the company aims to open the first establishments in Chernivtsi and Uzhgorod, and to increase its presence in cities with a population of one million, such as Kharkiv, Odesa, Dnipro and Lviv,” the company said.
The first McDonald’s in Ukraine was opened on May 24, 1997 in Kyiv.
The McDonald’s restaurant chain in Ukraine has 99 restaurants in 22 cities.
According to the data of the unified public register of legal entities and private entrepreneurs, MCD Europe Limited (100%, London, U.K.) is a participant in the limited liability company.

SEVEN UKRAINIAN BANKS VIOLATE REQUIREMENTS

The single counterparty exposure limit (H7, shall be no more than 25%) as of April 1, was violated by Prominvestbank (76.34%), Sberbank (49.1%) and Industrialbank (49.44%), according to the website of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

According to the regulator, the related party transactions exposure limit (H9, shall not exceed 25%) was violated by First Investment Bank (44.14%) and Unex Bank (27.23%).

The limit on bank total long open FX position (L13-1, shall be no more than 10%) was violated by Oschadbank (131.72%), Prominvestbank (110.89%), PrivatBank (94.02%) and Industrialbank (11.32%).

The limit on bank total short open FX position (L13-2, shall be no more than 10%) was violated by Prominvestbank (111.99%).

The newly introduced net stable funding ratio (NSFR, shall be more than 80%) was violated by Prominvestbank (29.45%).

INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION IN UKRAINE 2.1% UP IN MARCH

Industrial production in Ukraine in March 2021 increased by 2.1% compared to March 2020, which was the first month of the introduction of quarantine due to COVID-19, and the growth adjusted for the effect of calendar days was 2.4%, the State Statistics Service has said.

The department indicated that the growth of industrial production in March 2021 amounted to 10.9% against the previous month, and on a seasonally adjusted basis – 1.8%.

In the supply of electricity, gas, steam and conditioned air in March 2021 from March 2020, an increase was 7.3%, in processing industry – 2.5%, while the reduction in production in extracting industry was 1.5%.

The State Statistics Service clarified that in the first quarter of 2021 in relation to the same period a year earlier, industrial production in Ukraine decreased by 2%, in particular in mining industry – by 2.8%, processing – by 3.3%, although the supply of electricity, gas and steam gains 4.1% due to substantially colder weather.

As reported, industrial production in Ukraine in 2020 fell by 5.2% after falling by 0.5% a year earlier. At the same time, in December last year, for the first time since May 2019, its growth was recorded compared to the same period last year – by 4.8%.
