The assets of financial companies in January-September 2021 increased by 4.7% compared to the beginning of the year (UAH 182.13 billion), to UAH 190.704 billion, according to a review of the nonbank financial sector on the website of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on Tuesday.
According to the report, the growth of assets in July-September 2021 amounted to 6.2% due to the growth in the volume of all types of financial services provided during the quarter, thanks to it, the volume of assets recovered to the highest level of 2019.
The NBU said that the total volume of services provided by financial companies in the third quarter grew by 21.1%, to UAH 281.077 billion, including services for trading foreign exchange valuables by 18.3%, to UAH 75.695 billion, funds transfer by 10.2%, to UAH 127.336 billion.
The volume of loans issued by financial companies in the third quarter rose by 16.6%, to UAH 33.91 billion, including loans to individuals by 5.8%, to UAH 17.18 billion, and loans to legal entities by 30%, to UAH 16.528 billion.
The number of financial companies in Ukraine in the third quarter grew by 1.3%, to 984, while their total equity capital increased 8.2%, to UAH 29.695 billion.
In 2022, Ukraine will begin the reconstruction of 48 regional multidisciplinary hospitals, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said.
“We have repaired 600 rural outpatient clinics and 200 emergency departments. And next year we are starting the reconstruction of 48 regional multidisciplinary clinical hospitals for both adults and children, as well as 24 rehabilitation centers for veterans,” he said, speaking in the Verkhovna Rada with an annual address on Wednesday.

Ukraine has registered 11,960 new cases of COVID-19, 26,160 recoveries, and 557 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
“Over the past day, November 30, Ukraine has recorded 11,960 new cases of COVID-19, including 1,088 children and 207 medical workers, while 233,471 people have been vaccinated for COVID-19, among them 76,979 people who received their first shot and 156,492 who have completed vaccination. In the past 24 hours, 3,629 persons have been hospitalized, 557 have died, and 26,160 have recovered,” the Health Ministry said on Telegram.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Ukraine has seen a total of 3,450,341 coronavirus infections, including 2,972,192 recoveries and 86,532 deaths.
