CYPRUS BECOMES FIRST EU COUNTRY THAT RETAINED POSSIBILITY OF ENTRY FOR UKRAINIAN CITIZENS

Cyprus has become the first EU country that retained the possibility of entry for Ukrainian citizens, Croatia and Estonia did not close the borders for Ukrainians, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has said. “Good news. Cyprus has become the first EU country to retain entry for Ukrainians. Such persons are also subject to 10 days of self-isolation.Also, as the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, Croatia remained open for the travel of Ukrainians.“More good news. UKRAINE PRODUCES 857,800 TONNES OF SUGAR IN THIS MARKETING YEAR

Sugar production in Ukraine as of November 9 amounted to 562,300 tonnes (up by 135,100 tonnes for the period of November 2-9), in general, 6.24 million tonnes of sugar beet were processed (up by 940,000 tonnes per week).
According to a report on the website of the National Association of Sugar Producers Ukrtsukor on Tuesday, 29 out of 33 factories that planned to produce sugar in the current marketing year (September-August) are currently processing sugar beets.
According to the data on the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, as of November 9, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 8.82 million tonnes of sugar beet (82.9% of the forecast) with a yield of 469.5 centners per hectare.
In addition, the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of Zhytomyr Regional State Administration on Monday announced on its website that the sugar-making season, which began on September 4, has ended in the region. Sugar beets in the region were processed by PrJSC Chervone Sugar Mill (Chervone village) and Cygnet-Center LLC (Andrushky village), which is part of the Cygnet agricultural holding.
According to the department, in general, by November 8 in Zhytomyr region, 334,000 tonnes of sugar beets were processed into 47,900 tonnes of sugar.
As reported, the current season of sugar beet processing started in the country on August 21.

UKRAINE REGISTERS 23,283 CASES OF COVID IN PAST 24 HOURS

Ukraine has registered 23,283 new cases of COVID-19, as well as 16,277 recoveries and 816 deaths in the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Health Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.“Over the past day, November 9, Ukraine has recorded 23,283 new cases of COVID-19 (including 1,539 children and 529 medical workers), while 267,401 people have received a coronavirus vaccine, among them 150,663 persons who received the first shot and 116,738 who completed their vaccination. In the past 24 hours, 5,696 persons were hospitalized, 816 died, and 16,277 recovered,” the ministry said on Telegram. Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, Ukraine has seen a total of 3,130,772 coronavirus infections, including 2,553,842 recoveries and 74,206 deaths. As of this day, 11,697,386 people have been vaccinated for COVID-19, including 11,697,384 who have received the first shot and 8,154.792 who have completed their vaccination (among them two persons who received the first shot abroad). A total of 19,852,176 shots have been administered to date.

HILTON PLANS TO OPEN FIRST HOTEL OF CHAIN IN UKRAINIAN ODESSA IN 3 YEARS

Hilton has entered into a franchise agreement with Gefest Group (the real estate developer, Odessa) on the implementation of a hotel project in Odessa, which is scheduled to open in the spring of 2025. According to a press release of Hilton, the hotel near the Arcadia entertainment area will be managed by Cyprus-based Millennium Hospitality. The new hotel will become part of the Hilton Hotels & Resorts chain.“There is clear opportunity for growth in Ukraine, with two hotels set to join our portfolio alongside Hilton Kyiv. Growing international interest in Odessa and robust domestic demand make Hilton Odessa an important addition to our European pipeline. According to the report, the project provides for the construction of two buildings in Vanny and Primorsky lanes in Odesa. The hotel will have 145 rooms. The hotel infrastructure will include two swimming pools, one of which is panoramic, four restaurants and bars, a conference center (800 square meters), a banquet hall (300 square meters), a rooftop lounge area, and a spa center (600 square meters). Gefest Group was founded in Odessa in 1997. The company’s portfolio includes more than 40 office, retail and residential real estate projects in Ukraine and Europe at different stages of implementation.
