SALES OF SERVICES IN UKRAINE 5.8% UP IN Q2 2018

The volume of sales of services by service enterprises in Ukraine in Q2 2018 amounted to UAH 181.7 billion, which in comparable prices is higher than the level of Q2 2017 by 5.8%, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
According to its data, the volume of services provided to the population amounted to 22.5% of the total volume of services sold.
As reported, the volume of sales of services by service enterprises in Ukraine increased by 3% in Q1 2018, by 0.6% in Q4 2017, by 3.1% in Q3 2017, by 7.7% in Q2 2017, and by 14.8% in Q1 2017.

KOBLEVO TO PAY UAH 80 MLN IN DIVIDENDS FOR 2015-2017

PJSC Koblevo (Mykolaiv region), one of the largest wineries in Ukraine, intends to pay UAH 80 million in dividends for 2015-2017.
According to a company report in the information disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, the relevant issue was put on the agenda of an extraordinary general meeting of the company’s shareholders scheduled for September 27, 2018.
According to the draft decision on dividend payment, UAH 7.389 million will be paid for 2015, some UAH 68.103 million for 2016, and UAH 4.508 million for 2017.
Payment can be made from October 17, 2018 to March 26, 2019.
Koblevo is part of Bayadera Group, established in 1991. Its owners are Natalia Bondareva and Sviatoslav Nechytailo.
The group unites core assets in the alcohol industry – distribution companies and its own production of alcoholic drinks in Ukraine and Belarus, and is an exclusive importer of the world alcohol brands in Ukraine.
The main trademarks are Hlibny Dar, Kozatska Rada, Persha Gildiya, Celsius, Koblevo, Marengo, and others.

CHORNOMORSK SEAPORT RAISES CARGO HANDLING BY 31% IN SEVEN MONTHS OF 2018

Chornomorsk seaport (Odesa region) in January-July 2018 increased cargo handling by 31.2% compared to January-July 2017, to 11.953 million tonnes.
According to the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority, for the seven months of 2018 the enterprise increased transshipment of exported cargo by 15.87%, to 8.87 million tonnes, imported goods by 2.43 times, to 2.438 million tonnes. Transshipment of transit cargo increased by 37.7%, to 618,330 tonnes, while the port handled 22,460 tonnes of cabotage cargo.
Transshipment of liquid cargo decreased by 7.93%, to 933,660 tonnes, dry bulk cargo increased by 20.69%, to 7.99 million tonnes, that of non-bulk goods doubled, to 3.03 million tonnes. Transshipment of containers amounted to 98,616 TEU.
Chornomorsk port is a universal international port, one of the largest on the Black Sea. The enterprise has specialized terminals and complexes, which allow overloading a wide range of goods: liquid, bulk, general. Its 29 berths are capable of receiving ships with a carrying capacity of up to 100,000 tonnes. The annual designed capacity of the port is more than 30 million tonnes.

UKRAINE RAISES CAST IRON EXPORTS BY 59.3%, MORE THAN HALF OF SHIPMENTS TO U.S. IN SEVEN MONTHS

Ukraine in January-July 2018 increased exports of pig iron in natural terms by 59.3% compared to the same period in 2017, to 1.768 million tonnes.
According to customs statistics released by the State Fiscal Service, during this period exports of cast iron in monetary terms rose by 78.6%, to $608.696 million.
At the same time, exports were mainly made to the United States (57.41% of deliveries in monetary terms), Italy (14.21%), and Turkey (8.35%).
In January-July 2018 Ukraine imported 836 tonnes of similar products for $493,000, while in January-July 2017 some 1,352 tonnes worth $683,000. Imports were carried out from Russia (79.31% of deliveries in monetary terms), and Germany (20.69%).
As reported, Ukraine in 2017 reduced exports of cast iron in natural terms by 7.8% compared to the previous year, to 2.342 million tonnes, but increased in monetary terms by 33.9%, to $738.130 million. At the same time, exports were mainly made to the U.S. (55.05% of deliveries in monetary terms), Italy (24.69%), and Turkey (7.95%).

UKRAINE POSTS 1.5% RISE IN IMPORTS OF MANGANESE ORE IN SEVEN MONTHS OF 2018

Ukraine in January-July 2018 increased imports of manganese ore and concentrate in natural terms by 1.5% compared to the same period in 2017, to 580,980 tonnes.
According to customs statistics released by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, during this period imports of manganese ore and concentrate in monetary terms increased by 32%, to $113.953 million.
Main imports were from Ghana (51.97% of deliveries in monetary terms), the Republic of South Africa (22.82%), and Russia (15.71%).
In January-July 2018 Ukraine reduced exports and re-exports of manganese ore and concentrate in natural terms by 29%, to 29,491 tonnes, in monetary terms by 2.4%, to $2.144 million. Exports and re-exports were made to Hungary (44.47% of supplies), the Russian Federation (18.71%), and the Czech Republic (17.64%).
As reported, Ukraine in 2017 increased imports of manganese ore and concentrate in natural terms by 36.1% compared to 2016, to 1.303 million tonnes, in monetary terms by 69.3%, to $223.434 million. Major imports were carried out from Ghana (41.28% of deliveries in monetary terms), the Republic of South Africa (22.73%), and Russia (19.23%).
