WIZZ AIR POSTPONES LAUNCH OF FLIGHTS FROM KYIV TO LEIPZIG

Wizz Air, one of the largest European low-cost airlines, has postponed the launch of flights from Kyiv to Leipzig (Germany) from July 5 to August 9.
According to data in the booking system, the first departure from Kyiv (Zhuliany) is scheduled for August 9 at 13:00, back from Leipzig at 14:45 local time.
Flights will be operated twice a week on Mondays and Fridays. The planned flight duration is just over two hours.
The cost of a one-way ticket starts from UAH 1,300.

ZE!TEAM LAUNCHES LIFT PROJECT TO ATTRACT NEW SPECIALISTS, INNOVATIVE IDEAS

The team of newly elected President Volodymyr Zelensky (Ze!Team) has launched the LIFT project, which is intended to become a social elevator and unite qualified specialists and innovations, ensure changes in the country and its comprehensive socio-economic and cultural development.
“This is a platform that will finally give impetus to changes in the country: new people for state and social projects, innovative ideas and developments that will form the state as a modern service for every citizen of Ukraine,” the project initiators note.
Anyone can join the project. “We have combined the best recruiting companies and specialists who will closely monitor the selection process,” Ze!Team said.
LIFT, as an innovative platform, will help people find jobs, become specialists and work on changes in the country. Authors of the project say it will solve difficult issues or be useful for the country, bringing positive changes at the state level.
A beta version of LIFT project: https://lift.net.ua/ was launched on Tuesday, May 28.
On May 23, Zelensky, during his speech at the Ukrainian forum of Internet figures, iForum announced the launch of this project in the near future. He said it would allow anyone to offer their ideas as part of the process of digitalization of the state, dubbed “creating a state in a smartphone,” announced during his election campaign.

IMC COMPLETES SOWING OF SPRING CROPS

IMC agricultural holding has completed the spring sowing campaign on 104,100 ha compared with 105,200 ha in 2018.
According to a company press release, the sowing area under sunflower this year amounted to 22,800 hectares, under soybean – 10,800 hectares, under corn – 69,500 hectares. Also about 1,000 hectares were planted with fodder crops to meet the needs of the company’s dairy farming.
“In the current season, we managed to sow crops in almost optimal time period, despite the fact that sowing took place with certain pauses caused by weather conditions,” Chief Operating Officer of the IMC Oleksandr Verzhykhovskyi said.
IMC’s core business is cultivation of grains, oilseeds and milk production in Ukraine. The agricultural holding cultivates about 130,000 hectares of land in Poltava, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions. It owns storage facilities with a capacity of 554,000 tonnes of grains and oilseeds.

UIA RESUMES DIRECT FLIGHTS FROM ODESA TO VILNIUS FROM JUNE 15

Ukraine International Airlines (UIA, Kyiv) from June 15, 2019 will launch direct flights from Odesa to Vilnius (Lithuania).
The press service of the airline reported on Monday that the UIA third-weekly flights will be operated on Wednesday, Fridays and Sundays on modern Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The flight will take one hour and 50 minutes.
UIA offers one-way tickets at the price from UAH 1,530 for Odesa to Vilnius flights, and one-way tickets for Vilnius to Odesa flights at the price from EUR 58 (approximately UAH 1,720 at the current exchange rate).
In general, as reported by UIA, the number of direct weekly UIA regular flights connecting Lithuania and Ukraine will increase from 14 to 17 comparing with the previous year.
Ukraine International Airlines was founded in 1992. The fleet consists of 42 airplanes of different modifications. One of the ultimate beneficiaries of the airline is businessman Ihor Kolomoisky.

NAFTOGNAFTOGAZ TO CUT GAS PRICE FOR HOUSEHOLDS BY 8% AZ TO CUT GAS PRICE FOR HOUSEHOLDS BY 8%

NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy in July will cut the price of natural gas for the needs of households by 8% compared with the price in June, to UAH 5,803 per 1,000 cubic meters (VAT and transportation and distribution costs not included), Chairman of Naftogaz Executive Board Andriy Kobolev has written on his Facebook page.
“Gas on the international market is becoming cheaper again. Thanks to this, Naftogaz reduces gas prices for industrial consumers by almost 8% in June. According to the government’s decision, the price of Naftogaz for commercial consumers forms the price of gas for households that is valid next month,” he wrote.
As reported, Cabinet of Ministers resolution No. 867 dated October 19, 2018 extended the period of validity of public service obligations (PSO) for Naftogaz to sell natural gas for the needs of the households, producers of heat energy and religious organizations until May 1, 2020.
The situation on the European market since spring 2019 has led to a decrease in the market price of gas below the government-set regulatory level for households.
The government made amendments, according to which, under PSO, the prices of gas for households and heat suppliers is calculated as the average price of gas supplied by Naftogaz to industrial consumers that was in effect in the month preceding the month of delivery.

UKRAINE CUTS ELECTRICITY EXPORTS BY 2.7%

Ukraine in January-April 2019 decreased electricity exports by 2.7% (by 59.3 million kWh) compared to the same period in 2018, to 2.13 billion kWh, the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry has told Interfax-Ukraine.
Electricity supplies from the Burshtyn TPP Energy Island in the direction of Hungary, Slovakia and Romania increased by 0.01% (by 0.1 million kWh), to 1.421 billion kWh.
Electricity supplies to Poland decreased by 18.6% (by 100.8 million kWh), to 440.3 million kWh.
Electricity supplies to Moldova amounted to 268.4 million kWh, which is 18.2% (41.4 million kWh) more than in January-April 2018.
For the first four months of 2018 and 2019, Ukrainian electricity was not exported to Belarus and Russia.
In addition, in January-April 2019, Ukraine imported 8.7 million kWh of electricity from the Russian Federation and Belarus compared to 11.4 million kWh in January-March 2018.
