CONSTRUCTION OF 70,000 SQ M OF NEW OFFICES IN UNIT.CITY WILL START NEXT YEAR

UFuture and UDP companies of businessman Vasyl Khmelnytsky in partnership with KAN Development (both based in Kyiv) plan to begin the construction of 70,000 square meters of new offices and the second phase of the UNIT.Home residential complex in the Kyiv innovative park UNIT.City in 2020.
“Currently, two office buildings are being built in UNIT.City, which will be brought to the market in the first quarter of 2020 … Next year we plan to begin the construction of 70,000 square meters of business campuses and the second phase of housing,” CEO of Unit.Holdings Kostiantyn Yevtushenko said at a presentation on launching home sales in the UNIT.Home project in Kyiv.
According to him, currently 36,000 square meters of offices have been built as part of the UNIT.City project (three business campuses). As of 2019, another 20,000 square meters of offices and 40,000 square meters of housing are under construction.
According to Ihor Nikonov, the founder of KAN Development, the UNIT.Home project is being implemented in accordance with the requirements of the international system of the green standard BREEAM (the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method). Currently, the construction of the first stage of housing with an area of 40,300 square meters is being carried out. It includes sections of houses for 580 apartments. The number of floors ranges from six to 20. The project participants plan to complete the construction of the first stage in 2022.
Nikonov said the residential part of the UNIT.City project will occupy about 20% of all areas of the innovation town. In particular, in the end, the total housing area will be 174,900 square meters, while the area of the entire park is about 850,000 square meters.
UDP and KAN Development are the co-investors and developers of the UNIT.Home project. The project management company is Unit.Holdings.
UFuture is a holding company of Ukrainian businessman Vasyl Khmelnytsky, which combines his business and social projects. It has a diversified portfolio of assets in real estate, infrastructure, industry, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, and IT.

SERGIY BUBKA RE-ELECTED VICE PRESIDENT OF INTL ASSOCIATION OF ATHLETICS FEDERATIONS FOR ANOTHER FOUR YEARS

President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Ukraine Sergiy Bubka on Wednesday was re-elected to the post of vice president of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) for four years. “According to the results of the vote, President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, the legendary athlete, Olympic champion, multiple world champion, 35-times world record holder Serhiy Bubka has been re-elected to the post of IAAF Vice President for a term of four years,” the NOC of Ukraine said in a statement.
He received 139 votes from the national federations of the countries participating in the vote.
Briton Sebastian Coe was again elected President of the IAAF.
Bubka became IAAF Vice President in 2007.

RAIFFEISEN BANK MAY GRANT EUR 8 MLN LOAN TO LVIV BREWERY

Lviv Brewery LLC, a large supplier of drinks and food products in Western Ukraine, became a guarantor of Pro Tek Vikna Ukraine LLC on a credit line of EUR 8 million from JSC Raiffeisen Bank Aval. According to a company’s report in the information disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, the decision to sign the respective agreement with Raiffeisen Bank Aval was taken on September 20, 2019. The deadline for credit redemption is by December 31, 2026.
The agreement provides for the transfer of a separate launch complex to the bank in mortgage with a total area of 31,790 square meters, land plots with an area of 2,500 hectares and 2,900 hectares (all in Yavorivsky district of Lviv region) of the company Pro Tek Vikna Ukraine.
Lviv Brewery began its activity in 1997 as a wholesale warehouse of food products of all categories, now a large distributor of FMCG in western Ukraine. Main areas of activity: distribution of beer brands Carlsberg, alcoholic beverages Nemiroff, Oreanda, Shabo, grocery products Oleina, Rollton, Runa and others.
Pro Tech Vikna Ukraine is engaged in the production of wooden containers, wholesale of food products, etc.
According to the Unified Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs, the final beneficiaries of both companies are Vasyl Novak, Andriy Panas and Roman Paskovych.

UKRAINIAN KHARKIV DOESN’T RECEIVE THE RIGHT TO HOST UEFA 2021 SUPER CUP

Kharkiv has failed to get the right to host the match for the UEFA Super Cup in 2021. The holding of this match was given to Belfast at a meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee in Ljubljana on Tuesday. Minsk and Helsinki also claimed the right to host the UEFA2021 Super Cup.

UKRAINIAN PRESIDENT DISCUSSES PROSPECTS OF BOOSTING INVESTMENT BY UBER WITH UBER CEO

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met Uber Technologies Inc. CEO Dara Khosrowshahi on the sidelines of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly in New York and discussed the prospects of increasing capital investment of the company in Ukraine with him.
“During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of issues regarding Uber’s activities in Ukraine, as well as the prospects of increasing the company’s investments in our country,” the press service of the head of state reported.
Zelensky informed Khosrowshahi of the implementation of the reform policy aimed at improving the business climate in Ukraine and creating favorable conditions for attracting foreign investments.
In addition, the use of environment friendly vehicles in Ukraine by Uber was discussed during the meeting.

UKRAINIAN PRESIDENT ZELENSKY DISCUSSES SWEDISH INVESTMENT IN UKRAINIAN ECONOMY

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Löfven on the sidelines of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly, and the sides discussed prospects of negotiations on Donbas and Swedish investment in the Ukrainian economy.
The press service of the president of Ukraine reported on the president’s website on Wednesday, Zelensky thanked the prime minister for comprehensive support of Kyiv, in particular, the support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The parties discussed the prospects of the negotiations on Donbas.
“We are not ready to wait five more years for the negotiations in Minsk to yield results,” Zelensky said.
The head of state also noted the importance of Sweden as a partner for Ukraine, in particular in the trade sphere.
Zelensky urged Löfven to facilitate the increase of Swedish investments in Ukraine’s economy, including the spheres of energy efficiency and recycling.
