IEC TO INVEST UAH 160 MLN IN CONSTRUCTION OF NEW EXHIBITION PAVILION

KYIV. July 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The International Exhibition Center LLC (IEC, Kyiv), the owner of the eponymous exhibition complex in Kyiv, intends to invest about UAH 160 million in the construction of a new pavilion with a two-storey exhibition hall of 12,500 square meters.
“According to our calculations, UAH 160 million is needed for the construction of the first stage. This amount will be partially made up from the funds of our enterprise and, of course, from credit money,” Anatoliy Tkachenko, the director general of the International Exhibition Center, told Interfax-Ukraine.
According to him, the whole project is divided into 8 start-up complexes (queues), the implementation of which is planned for 3.5 years.
The second stage includes the construction of a multi-purpose hall for 2,500 spectators, the following stages include building a 13-storey office and hotel complex, another exhibition pavilion, underground multi-level parking lots for 736 cars, auxiliary technical and other service facilities.
“However, taking into account our experience, perhaps we will have to change the project – either to increase exhibition space or to strengthen the service part given certain changes in the situation in the market and in the economy as a whole. Therefore we cannot now talk about specific deadlines for the completion of the entire construction project, while a clear benchmark is only one – the introduction of first stage facilities is scheduled for autumn 2018,” Tkachenko said.
As reported, the International Exhibition Center starts the construction of new exhibition pavilions and facilities with a total area of 80,000 square meters.
