COMPANIES FROM GERMANY, POLAND, NETHERLANDS, AUSTRIA AND TURKEY WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN WASTE RECYCLING PLANT CONSTRUCTION IN UKRAINE

Four companies filed documents to participate in the tender for the construction of a waste recycling complex in Lviv, Mayor of the city Andriy Sadovy has written on his Facebook page. “Lviv-based municipal enterprise Zelene Misto Green City received technical proposals from four participants (due to pandemic the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development approved that this may be online),” the mayor of Lviv said.
According to him, the documents were submitted by the following companies: Eggersmann Anlagenbau GmbH (Germany), Control Process S.A. (Poland), consortium of two companies WTT (Netherlands) and Axis (Lithuania), consortium of two companies MUT (Austria) and Dogusan (Turkey).
“Each of these companies has implemented at least four similar projects. Such experience is a guarantee of quality for us. The plant must be environmentally safe, this is the main criterion when choosing a contractor,” Sadovy said.
According to the mayor of Lviv, preparatory work is currently underway on the site allocated for the construction of the plant.
According to the City Council, the design capacity of the plant should be 240,000 tonnes of waste per year when working on a double-shift basis.

COMPANIES FROM AUSTRIA WANT TO ACQUIRE CONTROL OVER YUG-CONTRACT

The Anti-Monopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) is taking a decision if to permit GEN.Holding GmbH and VAMA Holding GmbH Austrian Companies to acquire control over Yug-Contract Group Ltd. (Cyprus).
The respective issue was put onto commission’s agenda on July 25. However, no decision over this issue has been announced yet.
According to the open sources, GEN Group Ltd owned by Foxtrot Group of Companies Director General Hennadiy Vykhodtsev is 100% shareholder of GEN. Holding GmbH. Meanwhile, VAMA Group Ltd. owned by another director of Foxtrot Group Valeriy Makovetsky is 100% shareholder of VAMA Holding GmBh.
Yug-Contract Group was based in Yalta in 1994. The company distributes items of IT and consumer electronics.
In 2009, Yug-Contract united with Foxtrot-IT and now has a multi-product portfolio.

VOLUME OF REINSURANCE OF RISKS BY UKRAINIAN INSURERS IN AUSTRIA IN JAN-MARCH TRIPLED TO UAH 168 MLN

The volume of reinsurance of risks by Ukrainian insurers in Austria in January-March 2019 tripled to UAH 168.5 million and accounted for 21.5% of the total reinsurance abroad, according to the website of the National Commission for the State Regulation of the Financial Services Market.
According to the regulator, reinsurance in Switzerland decreased by 4.9 times, to UAH 54.1 million. The reduction of Switzerland’s share in the total reinsurance of Ukrainian risks abroad decreased to 6.9% in Q1, 2019 from 31.3% in Q1, 2018.
The share of reinsurance in Germany increased from 13.9% to 21.3% (UAH 167.6 million), Great Britain from 15.5% to 18.4% (UAH 144.8 million), in Poland decreased from 11.5% to 10.2% (UAH 79.9 million), France increased from 3.4% to 5.4% (UAH 42.5 million).
According to the regulator, outgoing reinsurance operations in the first quarter of 2019 rose by 2.2%, to UAH 4.433 billion due to the increase in domestic reinsurance by 4.5%, to UAH 3.658 billion. At the same time, reinsurance of non-residents declined by 7.6%, to UAH 785 million.

TWELVE COMPANIES FROM GERMANY, POLAND, FRANCE, GREECE, AUSTRIA, ISRAEL AND OTHER COUNTRIES BID FOR CONSTRUCTION OF WASTE RECYCLING PLANT IN LVIV

Twelve companies from eleven countries have submitted bids for the construction of a waste recycling plant in Lviv, the press service of Lviv City Council said with reference to Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy. “These companies have the most extensive experience in the construction of waste recycling facilities in Europe and around the world. The commission will study each company’s background and the next stage is to select one of the companies,” the press service quoted Sadovy as saying.
According to the report, the examination of documents for the compliance with the qualification requirements will take 30 days after which a list of the companies admitted to the next stage of the tender will be made public.
The following companies submitted bids for the tender: Eggersmann Anlagenbau GmbH (Germany), Control Process S.A. (Poland), СМЕС (China Machinery Engineering Corporation, PRC); Ceres Group SAS (France), ECONOVA (JSC ECONOVA, Poland), HELECTOR S. A (Greece), M-U-T (Austria), JV EFACEC-TAHAL (Israel), Atzwanger AG (Italy), Axis-Waste Treatment Technologies (the Netherlands), RIKO, industrijski, gradbeni inženiring in leasing, d.o.o. (Slovenia), and 3B Hungaria (Hungary).
According to the tender requirements, the construction of the waste recycling plant with the capacity of 240,000 tonnes of garbage per year should take 24 months. After the launch, the winner of the tender will service the facility and train local specialists for a year.
On June 1, 2018, Lviv City Council and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) signed an agreement on the issue EUR 35 million for the construction of the waste recycling plant and the rehabilitation of the Hrybovychi solid household waste landfill.
