Agroko LLC (Cherkasy region) has begun construction of a new 800-head dairy barn with a cross-ventilation system, which it plans to complete in 2027, company director Volodymyr Tarandushka said in an interview with United Farmers Ukraine.
“We began construction on May 1, and as of today, the foundation for our future cross-ventilated barn has already been completed. We are building a new cross-ventilated barn for 800 head using modern technology,” he said.
According to Tarandushka, the company plans to build a new 60-stall “carousel-style” milking parlor to serve both the new and existing barns.
Cross-ventilation is intended to ensure a more stable microclimate and reduce heat stress in the animals, which, according to estimates, will help maintain herd productivity during the summer heat.
As Tarandushka noted, the new barn will be the first facility of its kind in the Cherkasy region.
The plan is to initially transfer the most productive herd to it, after which the farm will gradually increase its livestock population.
The plan is to increase milk production from 50 to 75 metric tons per day.
STOV “Agroko” was registered in 2001 in the Cherkasy region. It is engaged in the cultivation of grains, legumes, and oilseeds, the breeding of dairy cattle, and milk production.
The ultimate beneficial owner is Ihor Potapenko.
According to Opendatabot, in 2025, STOV “Agroko” increased its revenue by 31.5%—to 1.079 billion UAH—and its net profit by 35.4%, to 382 million UAH.

The first phase of Ukraine’s largest potato processing plant, located in the “Biosens” industrial park (Cherkasy region) with a capacity of 25,000 metric tons per year, is scheduled to begin operations in late 2026 or early 2027, according to Dmytro Kysilevsky, deputy chairman of the parliamentary committee on economic development.
“At the Biosens Industrial Park, installation of the steel structures for the walls and roof of the first phase of Ukraine’s largest potato processing plant has begun. The investment in the first phase of the plant, which will produce potato flour, amounts to 960 million hryvnias,” he wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.
Kysilevsky added that the construction of the 6,500-square-meter production building is utilizing weldless joining technology for high-strength steel components, and the production equipment has already been delivered.
“Ukraine currently imports 100% of its potato flour needs, which is brought in from abroad for use in the baking, confectionery, and meat-processing industries, as well as in the production of sauces and instant food mixes. But starting next year, our country will not only meet its own needs but will also become an exporter of potato flour,” the MP noted.
He emphasized that, with the help of state funding, work is currently underway at the “Biosens” industrial park to expand the access road and connect to the gas networks. In December 2025, the government allocated 24.7 million UAH for these projects on a 50:50 co-financing basis.
Kysilevsky noted that a mandatory condition for receiving state funding is the construction of at least 5,000 square meters of industrial space within the industrial park and the involvement of at least two participants.
“Biosens is currently preparing an additional application for further state funding to continue developing the industrial park’s engineering and transportation infrastructure,” he added.
According to Kysilevsky, construction of the plant’s second phase is scheduled for 2027—a French fries production facility with a capacity of 60,000–150,000 metric tons per year, requiring an investment of 2.5 billion hryvnias.
“McDonald’s and KFC currently import french fries for their Ukrainian chains due to the lack of specialized cultivation and processing technologies in our country. But such technologies will be available very soon,” he emphasized.
The plant’s third phase, which will also produce French fries, will require approximately 3 billion UAH in investment. In addition, the IP’s development plan calls for the construction of a 20,000-metric-ton potato storage complex, a facility for processing potato peels into protein and starch, and a greenhouse complex equipped with a cogeneration plant.
To accommodate the future facilities, the industrial park has already initiated the expansion of its existing area from 29.6 hectares to 40 hectares. Another 60-hectare plot located nearby is being considered as a reserve.
As previously reported, the “Biosens” Industrial Park was registered in August 2025 for a term of 30 years. The initiative to create the park came from the local company “Fitolan,” LLC, which is part of the “Mais” group of companies that is building a plant within the “Biosens” Industrial Park.
The agricultural company “Mais” is one of the largest producers of hybrid corn, hybrid sunflower, and soybean seeds in Ukraine and is the main asset of the “Mais” group of companies.
The co-owners of “APK Mais” LLC are Serhiy Tereshchuk, a member of the Ukrainian Parliament in the 4th and 6th convocations, and his wife, Maryna Cherednychenko; “Field-Group” is responsible for potato preservation and processing within the group.
The industrial complex of the former Irkliiv Butter and Cheese Factory in Cherkasy Region is being offered for sale on the OpenMarket electronic platform. The starting price of the lot is UAH 10.9 million, according to the State Enterprise “SETAM” of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
The property, located in the village of Irkliiv, Chornobaivskyi district, includes several non-residential properties with a total area of 5,222.8 square meters. The complex has a developed engineering infrastructure: electricity supply with a connected capacity of 1,159.2 kW, an operating sewage pumping station, a water tower, and its own well.
“The sale of such properties through open bidding is a way to modernize regional industry. We believe that our auction will help find an investor who can unlock the potential of the enterprise and create jobs,” said Roman Osadchuk, CEO of SETAM.
The auction for the sale of the property will take place on December 18, 2025. The OpenMarket electronic trading system, which has been operating in Ukraine since 2014, is one of the key tools for online asset purchases. In total, property worth more than UAH 26.6 billion has already been sold through the system.

The State Property Fund (SPF) of Ukraine has put up for privatization the Kamianske distillery in Cherkasy region, the press service of the agency reports.
It is specified that the starting price of the enterprise is UAH 6.6 million. The auction will be held in the Prozorro.Sale system on March 22, with bids accepted until March 21.
The facility includes 49 units of real estate and infrastructure (production, administrative, warehouse buildings and structures). The production area is 25,719.4 square meters.
According to the Charter, the main activity is distillation, rectification and mixing of alcoholic beverages. The average number of employees as of September 30, 2023 was seven. The company ceased operations in 2010 and does not carry out production activities. Property, plant and equipment are excessively worn out.
Accounts receivable as of September 30, 2023 amounted to UAH 3143 thousand; accounts payable amounted to UAH 9766 thousand, in particular: for goods, works, services – UAH 5803 thousand, for settlements with the budget – UAH 1487 thousand, for payroll settlements – UAH 1190 thousand, for insurance – UAH 510 thousand, other debts – UAH 786 thousand.
Kamianske Coke provides water supply, sewerage and electricity services to residential buildings, which are accounted for on the company’s balance sheet and are not subject to privatization.
The Belgian company Granex-Cherkasy LLC (Dengi village, Cherkasy region) is completing the construction of a grain drying complex with a capacity of up to 600 tons per day, according to the project developer ProjectLine.
“The customer set the task to make the most compact layout possible, so ProjectLine specialists placed the complex on a plot measuring only 19×23 m,” the designers noted.
According to the report, the farm plans to build an elevator for 15 thousand tons of simultaneous storage, a grain final cleaning department, and a loading unit for vehicles.
Granex-Cherkasy LLC was established in 2002. The company specializes in growing grains, oilseeds, potatoes and onions under irrigation, with 450 hectares of the total land bank of 3.5 thousand hectares under cultivation. The company has a floor potato storage facility with a capacity of 6 thousand tons and a vegetable storage facility for onions with a capacity of 2 thousand tons. The main beneficiary of the company is a Belgian citizen Tom van Goy, and the manager is a Belgian citizen Wim de Schutter.
Mover Mill LLC has launched a plant for processing grain in the village of Kryvi Kolina, Cherkasy region. According to the press service of Cherkasy Regional State Administration, the capacity of the plant is 350 tonтуs of flour per day, it also produces semolina and bran. The products are sold under the Pershy Mlyn brand.
The cost of investments in the plant is about UAH 100 million.
According to Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Viktor Sheremeta, this company is currently one of the largest potential exporters of flour.
According to data from the state register of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, Mover Mill LLC was registered in 2016. Its owner is Volodymyr Movchan. Its statutory capital is UAH 5 million.
