According to the Interfax-Ukraine Culture project, nearly 40% of Ukrainians attend cultural events once every six months or less, most often at movie theaters, according to the “Culture in Ukraine” study by Research.ua, which was presented by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine on Thursday in Kyiv.
Specifically, when asked about the frequency of attending cultural events, 37% of respondents said they attend such events once every six months or less, 26%—once every few months, 30%—once a month or more often, and 7% noted that they do not attend cultural events.
Among the main sources of cultural news in 2025 were social media (75%) and messaging apps (65%), specifically: Telegram is a source of cultural news for 58% of respondents, Facebook – 51%, Instagram – 46%, and YouTube – 42%.
Among the most popular formats for cultural events are movie theaters (66% of respondents), music concerts (42%), and theater performances (40%).
Regarding barriers to attending cultural events: lack of funds (54% of respondents), lack of time (42%), lack of events nearby (26%), and lack of company (17%).
The survey was conducted December 22–30, 2025, via online interviews; the sample consisted of 2,000 respondents; the survey covered the adult urban population of Ukraine in all regions, excluding temporarily occupied territories.

In the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv, near the Osokorky metro station, a building was on fire on the morning of January 28. The fire was extinguished in about half an hour. The circumstances of the incident are still unknown.

This week in Ukraine there will be a number of events devoted to the development of business, the implementation of new technologies in the agricultural sector, IT-innovations and other topics. Among these events we should mention the presentation of a free support tool for Ukrainians on digital security – Nadiyno online platform, as well as the Ukrainian-Slovak Business Forum to be held in Uzhgorod.
In the world this week there will also be a number of major conferences and forums. Several meetings of the EU Economic and Financial Affairs Council will be held in Brussels to discuss the EU budget for the next year; on November 10-11 in Washington the International Monetary Fund will hold its annual research conference devoted to the world economy; and in France there will be the Paris Peace Forum, designed to bring together heads of state, representatives of international organizations, business leaders and civil society. November 13, Bali will also host the Business 20 Summit (B20) on the theme “Promoting innovative, inclusive and shared growth,” which will be a prologue to the main global political event of this autumn: the G20 Summit.

The Club of Experts YouTube channel published a new video overview dedicated to current events and events which will take place from October 31 to November 6, 2022. In the video review the founder of the Club of experts Maksim Urakin together with host Olga Levkun discussed the most important announcements of the events in the nearest future.
Particularly in Ukraine in the coming days there will be several events devoted to reconstruction and development of economy, business and innovations implementation. Among them we can single out Digital Regions Week, the opening of which will take place in Bucha (Kiev region) at the Dia.Biznes center on Tuesday. On Wednesday there will be a presentation of the Interactive map of destruction of the Ukrainian agricultural sector where the Minister of Agrarian Policy Mykola Solskyi and the Head of the VR Committee on Agriculture Daniil Hetmantsev are expected to speak. On the same day the II National Conference “Women’s Leadership on Decentralization and Local Self-Government in the Context of War” will be held.
There are also several important events in the world, the most important of which will be by-elections to the U.S. Senate and Congress on November 8, which will determine the party composition of these bodies for the next 6 years. On the economic front, the ADIPEC 2022 strategic oil and gas conference in the UAE and the UN climate change conference in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt will be of interest.
