EXPORT OF UKRAINIAN ICE CREAM GROWS 1.5-FOLD IN 5 YEARS

The export of Ukrainian ice cream for the period 2016-2020 increased by one and a half times, to 6,740 tonnes, while in January-April 2021 this figure increased 20% compared to January-April 2020, to 2,300 tonnes, the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection of Ukraine said in a press release on Friday.
“The growth of exports testifies to the high quality of Ukrainian products, which are valued both in Ukraine and abroad. It is pleasant that almost half of Ukrainian ice cream exports go to the EU countries, with which trade is intensifying in many trade positions,” Head of the authority Vladyslava Mahaletska said.
According to the authority, in the first six months of 2021 Ukraine exported 1,080 tonnes of ice cream, of which 46.8% went to the EU countries. In total, Ukraine supplies this product to more than 50 countries of the world, mainly to Moldova, China, and Israel.

UKRAINE IN JAN-JUNE REDUCES REVENUE FROM ELECTRICITY EXPORT BY 40%

Ukraine in January-June 2021 reduced its revenue from electricity exports by 40.9% (by $74.921 million) compared to the same period in 2020, to $108.238 million, according to data from the State Customs Service.
According to the calculations of the Interfax-Ukraine agency, in the six months, electricity was supplied to Hungary for $50.714 million, Poland – for $31.217 million, Romania – for $14.446 million, other countries – for $11.861 million.
In particular, in June 2021, electricity was exported for $30.263 million against $5.96 million in June 2020.
In addition, during this period Ukraine imported electricity for $58.598 million against $109.004 million in the same period last year, in particular from Belarus – for $24.691 million, Slovakia – for $22.25 million, Russia – for $5.186 million, other countries – for $6.471 million.

UKRAINE EXPORTS 88% OF SUNFLOWER OIL VOLUME SPECIFIED IN MEMORANDUM

Ukraine as of July 1, 2020/2021 marketing year (MY, September-August) exported 4.75 million tonnes of sunflower oil, which is 88.2% of the ceiling volume agreed by the Economy Ministry and Ukroliyaprom association, the association said on the website on Tuesday.
Ukroliyaprom said the highest export volumes of sunflower oil are 5.38 million tonnes in 2020/2021 MY. Thus, in July-August of the current MY, exporters can supply another 630,000 tonnes of this product to foreign markets.
