UKRAINE EXPORTS 19.64 MLN TONNES OF GRAIN IN 2019/2020 MY

Ukraine since the beginning of the 2019/2020 marketing year (MY, July-June) and as of November 4, 2019 had exported 19.64 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops, which is 42.9% more than on the same date last MY.
According to the information and analytical portal of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine, to date, the country has exported 11.67 million tonnes of wheat, 4.39 million tonnes of corn, and 3.34 million tonnes of barley.
As of November 4 of this year, 118,600 tonnes of flour had been also exported.
As reported, Ukraine in the 2018/2019 MY exported a record 50.4 million tonnes of grain, legumes and flour, which is 23% more than in the previous MY.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) in September raised its forecast for grain exports for the 2019/2020 MY by 400,000 tonnes compared with the August forecast, to 54.44 million tonnes.

SINCE BEGINNING OF NEW MARKETING YEAR, UKRAINE EXPORTS 18 MLN TONNES OF GRAIN

Ukraine since the beginning of the new 2019/2020 marketing year (MY, July-June) and as of October 30, 2019 had exported 17.94 million tonnes of grain and legumes, which is 32% more than on the same date last MY.
According to the information and analytical portal of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine, to date, the country has exported 10.92 million tonnes of wheat, 3.59 million tonnes of corn, and 3.2 million tonnes of barley.
As of October 31 of this year, farmers had exported 109,700 tonnes of flour.
As reported, Ukraine in the 2018/2019 MY exported a record 50.4 million tonnes of grain, legumes and flour, which is 23% more than in the previous MY.

UKRAINE WANTS TO EXPORT IT PRODUCTS – UKRAINIAN PRESIDENT

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his working visit to Japan met with top managers of the Japan Association of New Economy (JANE) and said that the IT sector is one of the most dynamically developing in Ukraine. Zelensky also shared plans to develop it.
“We plan to develop innovative infrastructure by opening business incubators, accelerators and innovative platforms, opening landmark R&D centers of global corporations, creating innovative or startup platforms in higher education institutions,” the press service of the Office of the President said on Wednesday morning, citing Zelensky.
According to the report, Japanese businessmen became interested in the State in the Smartphone project. Zelensky said that the digitalization reform is under his personal control.
The head of state also announced Ukraine’s desire to create a competitive IT product.
“In the Western world, our IT specialists are perceived as cheap labor. It is important for us to change this. We want to create IT products and sell them in the world,” he said.
Representatives of the association told the President of Ukraine about examples of successful innovative projects for the use of artificial intelligence in Japan, which have already proved their effectiveness in various fields of life. It is about tourism, entertainment and cybersecurity.

KSG AGRO PLANS TO BOOST GRAIN, FLOUR EXPORT TO MIDDLE EAST, AFRICA COUNTRIES 2.8 TIMES IN 2020

KSG Agro next year plans to boost grain and wheat flour export to Oman, Qatar, Libya and Angola 2.8 times compared with 2019, to 50,000 tonnes.
The holding said in a press release that in 2019 KSG Agro plans to export up to 18,000 tonnes of grain and flour to these countries, and at present, 11,800 tonnes of goods have been delivered.
The company said that in 2019, the agricultural holding exported cereals and flour exclusively to Oman, Qatar, Libya and Angola.
“We are very interested in exporting to the markets of the Middle East and Africa, where there is a demand for our products. Expanding agricultural exports allows us to diversify sales channels and receive foreign exchange earnings, as well as increase margins,” KSG Agro Board Chairman Serhiy Kasianov said.
In 2018, KSG Agro delivered 5,000 tonnes of corn to Oman and Qatar, in 2019 the export of this crop to two countries amounted to 5,300 tonnes. In addition, this year, the agricultural holding exported feed barley to these two countries in the amount of 4,000 tonnes. Also in 2019, KSG Agro delivered 2,500 tonnes of wheat flour to Libya and Angola.
“Thus, the total export volume of agricultural products of the agricultural holding in 2019 increased 2.4 times compared to 2018,” KSG Agro said.
