JYSK Ukraine plans to open 10 new stores and reopen 12 stores in the modern Store Concept 3.0 and Compact formats in the new financial year, which starts on September 1.
According to the company’s press service, five new JYSK stores are planned to open by the end of the calendar year: in the A1 shopping center in Odesa, the OBRIY retail park (Tatariv) and Peretyn (Melechiv in the Lviv region), in the Bukowyna Mall (Chernivtsi) and the Lavky Park shopping center (Mukachevo).
The company emphasized that in terms of network size, JYSK in Ukraine plans to surpass JYSK’s home country of Denmark in the 2026 financial year. Another important event will be the celebration of JYSK’s 1,000th employee in Ukraine. These steps are part of the global Customers’ First Choice strategy, which will be launched this year in all countries where the company operates. Its goal is to make JYSK the first choice for both customers and employees.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, JYSK has supported the Ukrainian network. This time, on the occasion of Independence Day and the new financial year, representatives of top management from Denmark visited Ukraine — JYSK CEO Rami Jensen and Executive Vice President of Retail Micael Nielsen. In particular, they visited the JYSK store in Chernivtsi, which last year became the chain’s 100th store in Ukraine.

The international home goods retailer JYSK opened a new store on Thursday in the Karavan shopping center, one of the largest shopping and entertainment centers in Dnipro, according to the retailer’s press service.
“We are delighted to be even closer to our customers in Dnipro. The Karavan shopping center is a popular destination visited by thousands of city residents every day. The new JYSK store will make high-quality home goods even more accessible,” said Yevgen Ivanytsia, Country Director of JYSK in Ukraine.
The opening of this store, which is the 109th in the chain in Ukraine, confirms the company’s strategic course of development and expansion even in wartime.
The store at 17 Nizhnedniprovska Street has a retail area of 1,069 square meters, as well as 192 square meters of warehouse space with 5-meter-high equipment and 32 square meters of office space. The store is designed in accordance with the Store Concept 3.0, which features a modern interior, convenient navigation, and an inspiration zone for shoppers.
JYSK currently operates in 37 cities in Ukraine. In addition, there is an online store at jysk.ua.

International home furnishing chain JYSK on Thursday opened stores updated to the 3.0 concept in Kyiv and Uman, said Country Director of JYSK Ukraine Yevhen Ivanitsa.
“Updating our stores to the JYSK 3.0 format is not just a change in design, but a qualitatively new level of comfort for our customers. We invest not only in space, but also in impressions – we create an atmosphere that inspires to equip a home with Scandinavian coziness. We are confident that these updates will make shopping in Kyiv and Uman even more convenient and every visit to the store a pleasant event,” commented Ivanitsa.
The JYSK 3.0 format provides for an updated approach to store design, with a modern design, improved navigation, full spotlighting and increased space.
In particular, the store located in the April City shopping center (Kyiv, 19A Lesya Kurbasa Ave.) has increased both the sales and warehouse space, which allowed to expand the range of goods and improve logistics processes. The new retail space is 947 square meters, office space is 36 square meters, and warehouse space is 302 square meters. This JYSK store has been operating in Kyiv since 2014, and in November it celebrated its 10th anniversary.
The JYSK store in Uman (31a Velyka Fontanna St.) has increased its warehouse space at the expense of the sales area. The total area of the store is now 878 square meters, including 254 square meters of warehouse space and 47.83 square meters of office space.

The international chain JYSK opened a new store in Odesa in the Rodos shopping center (1 Genoese St.) on Thursday, the company’s press service told Interfax-Ukraine.
The new store has a retail area of 955 square meters, a warehouse of 216 square meters, and office space of 47 square meters. Like all new JYSK stores, it is built in accordance with the modern 3.0 concept with full spot lighting, convenient arrangement of goods, which will create a comfortable shopping experience, the company said in a statement.
The new store became the 101st store of the chain in Ukraine, which celebrated its 20th anniversary on the Ukrainian market in October. In the financial year 2025, it is planned to open eight more new stores and renovate 12 existing ones.

On Thursday, the international chain JYSK opened a new store in Kryvyi Rih in the Terra shopping center at 1B Charivna Street, the retailer’s press service reported.
“The new JYSK store in Kryvyi Rih is located in the renovated Terra shopping center in the 5th Zarechnyi district. This store is the third in the city, the 99th in Ukraine and one of 29 JYSK stores planned to be opened by the company in August 2024 in Europe,” said JYSK Country Director in Ukraine Yevhen Ivanitsa, as quoted in the press release.
The new store will have a selling area of 1034 square meters, a warehouse of 307 square meters, and office space of 41.05 square meters. In addition, there are additional exhibition areas for furniture in front of the store and on the outer territory of the shopping center.
It is noted that in connection with the opening of the new store in the city, eight new employees joined the JYSK team, and four more were promoted. JYSK has more than 800 employees in the country.

On Thursday, the international chain JYSK opened a renovated, largest JYSK store in Vinnytsia (1a Yevhen Pikusa St., Kvartal shopping center), the company’s press service reported.
According to the press release, JYSK Country Director in Ukraine Yevhen Ivanitsa said that the store has increased storage space, updated lighting, commercial equipment, and plans to improve logistics ergonomics. Its selling area is 1076 sq.m., the warehouse area is 275 sq.m. (it was increased by 21 sq.m.). The store also has a new office space with an area of 35 sq.m.
The store was rebuilt in accordance with the modern JYSK 3.0 store concept.
JYSK also announced new signed lease agreements. Currently, the chain has 98 operating stores, and it is planned to expand to 105 outlets by the end of the year. In particular, it is planned to open the ninth store in Lviv and the 37th in the Kyiv agglomeration.
