PM Modi assures Zelenskyy that India will continue to provide humanitarian aid to Kyiv and restore peace

In a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured that India will continue to provide humanitarian aid to Kyiv and support efforts to restore peace in Ukraine.

“Had a good conversation with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on strengthening the India-Ukraine partnership. He expressed India’s consistent support for all efforts to establish peace and bring an early end to the ongoing conflict. India will continue to provide humanitarian assistance, guided by our people-centered approach,” Modi wrote on the social networking site X.

“The level of the Dnieper within Kiev has risen to its absolute maximum since the beginning of 2024. As of 16.03.2014, it is fixed at the mark of 601 cm above the “0” post. Water temperature – 3.9 deg. C”, – said in a message published in the telegram channel on Saturday.

According to monitoring data, over the past 7 days, the level of the Dnieper within Kiev has increased by more than 60 centimeters. At the same time there is a significant fluctuation of water during the day.

“The rise in water level and such significant fluctuations are due to the increase in water discharges from the Kiev reservoir due to the passage of spring floods. Therefore, there is an initial flooding of floodplains and low-lying riverine areas”, – noted in the press service of the KHVA.

Albania plans to open embassy in Kyiv

Albania is planning to open its embassy in Kyiv in the near future, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said after talks with his Albanian counterpart, Igli Hasani.

“During my first visit to friendly Albania, I met with Minister Igli Hasani. I thanked Albania for its strong support and solidarity with Ukraine. We identified ways to strengthen cooperation in the defense sector, paying special attention to artillery ammunition. Albania plans to open its embassy in Kyiv in the near future. I highly appreciate this decision, which will significantly strengthen our bilateral ties,” Kuleba wrote on social network X.

He also thanked Albania for its willingness to join the Core Group of the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine.

Bulgarian Prime Minister Denkov arrives in Kyiv on visit

Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov and a government delegation have arrived in Ukraine on a visit, Bulgarian National Television (BNT) reports.

The delegation also includes the ministers of justice, environment and energy – Atanas Slavov, Yulian Popov and Rumen Radev, deputy ministers of defense and foreign affairs – Stanimir Georgiev and Tikhomir Stoychev, as well as the head of the Defense Ministry, Admiral Emil Eftimov.
