Nova Poshta group of companies is launching the medicines delivery service throughout Ukraine, the company’s press service said on Tuesday, March 24.
“With the introduction of quarantine and transport restrictions, the government strongly encourages Ukrainians to stay at home. We have already launched a test delivery of food products in Dnipropetrovsk region and support the government’s decision, which allows us to provide the convenient medicines delivery service,” the press service of Nova Poshta said, citing CEO Oleksandr Bulba.
According to the statement, medicines will be delivered to Nova Poshta offices, pick-up and drop-off points or by couriers throughout Ukraine.
To date, the company begins selling medicines together with Liki 24 Internet portal. In the future, the company plans to connect other partners who sell medicines.
Nova Poshta said that this refers to the delivery of medicines and related products and does not apply to narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, heavy and toxic medicines, the storage of which is prohibited in Ukraine.
The Nova Poshta group of companies has canceled the mail storage fee for clients from March 18, 2020 until the end of the quarantine on April 3, according to a statement on its website. “Nova Poshta will store clients’ packages free of charge until the end of the quarantine. We understand that in the current situation our clients may be unable to collect their mail timely,” the company said.
Nova Poshta continues to work and provide services in full.
“The entire chain of our delivery services works – offices, terminals, couriers, automated parcel lockers. Cargo transportation is carried out without restrictions. In addition, international delivery service operates in an ordinary course,” the company said.
All offices of Nova Poshta are supplied with disinfectors, protective masks and gloves. All surfaces in offices are regularly cleaned with disinfectants.
“We control the distance in queues and prevent gathering of crowds of people. Our employees undergo primary examination and are not admitted to work if they feel worse,” Nova Poshta said.
As reported, Nova Poshta temporarily closed offices in shopping and entertainment centers in several cities due to quarantine measures and continues to work in a normal mode.
Nova Poshta International (part of the Nova Poshta group of companies) does not plan to suspend delivery of items to/from China, the company’s press service has told Interfax-Ukraine.
“As regards parcels from China, they are delivered as usual. For this, when ordering from Aliexpress, customers need to specify the Aliexpress Standard Shipping delivery service and select the nearest Nova Poshta office from the list of available ones,” the company noted.
At the same time, according to Nova Poshta, the delivery of shipments from Ukraine to China may be delayed due to the fault of the Chinese side.
“For our part, we continue to deliver parcels from Ukraine to China, but local delivery within China itself may occur with delays. This is due to restrictions in the work of Chinese companies in connection with coronavirus. We warn our customers about possible delays in sending parcels,” the company said.
Nova Poshta also emphasized that the number of parcels from China is usually reduced in January-February, due to the celebration of New Year holidays in this country, during which business activity in the country decreases.
“It is also known that due to the situation with the coronavirus, some suppliers ship goods with delays. Therefore, it is still difficult to analyze how coronavirus affected the volume of parcels from China,” Nova Poshta said.
