Denis Ulyutin, Ukraine’s Minister of Social Policy, Family, and Unity, announced that Ukraine has begun disbursing 1,500 UAH in financial assistance to pensioners and vulnerable groups.
“Starting today, we are beginning payments of 1,500 UAH. The payment will be made as a one-time payment during April,” Ulyutin said during a national telethon on Tuesday.
The minister explained that as early as Monday, funds for this support were redirected to 540,000 pensioners who receive payments through “Ukrposhta.”
According to him, the funds will be transferred to card accounts as early as this week, and through Ukrposhta branches, the assistance will arrive along with the pension on the designated day.
Ulyutin also noted that these funds are not earmarked and can be used for any purpose without restrictions.
As reported, on March 18, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a program for a one-time payment of 1,500 UAH in April for pensioners and vulnerable groups.
It is noted that among the recipients of the supplement are: old-age pensioners, disability pensioners, recipients of survivor’s pensions, and pensioners for length of service who are eligible for an old-age pension (the pension amount must not exceed 25,595 hryvnias; however, for war veterans who have participated in the defense of Ukraine since 2014, and for individuals among the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident liquidators, 1,500 UAH will be provided regardless of the amount of the pension received); recipients of state assistance/compensation (including those established for each recipient of assistance/compensation): for housing among IDPs; as a low-income family; basic social assistance; as persons not entitled to a pension who became eligible for assistance after turning 65, as persons not entitled to a pension among those with disabilities, and dependents of a deceased breadwinner who did not receive pension benefits; living with a person with a Group I or II disability due to a mental disorder; persons with disabilities since childhood and children with disabilities; for children raised in large families; single mothers; children under guardianship or custody; children with severe perinatal damage to the nervous system; children whose parents evade child support payments; orphans and children deprived of parental care, including those with disabilities, who are in family-type children’s homes and foster families.
From now on, payments to IBAN from personal funds are free of charge in the virtual monobank, according to the project’s co-founder Oleg Gorokhovsky.
“We are now removing this fee. All IBAN payments from personal funds in mono are free of charge starting today,” Gorokhovsky wrote on Telegram on Monday.
According to him, IBAN payment rates at monobank have not changed since 2017. Previously, transfers to IBAN for amounts up to UAH 10,000 were free, and for amounts over UAH 10,000, a commission of 0.5% was charged from own funds.
As Gorokhovsky noted, the income from this commission exceeded UAH 200 million per year.
The branchless mobile bank monobank was founded in January 2017 by former PrivatBank top managers Gorokhovsky, Dmytro Dubilet, and Mykhailo Rogalsky. It operates under the license of Universal Bank, which is part of the TAS Group (Kyiv) and currently serves 10.42 million customers, according to its own data.
According to the National Bank, as of the beginning of 2026, Universal Bank had issued a total of 28.22 million cards, of which 10.50 million were used for transactions during the month.
In January-June 2025, BBC Insurance (formerly Brokbusiness Insurance, Kyiv) collected UAH 444.23 million in gross premiums, which is 86.9% more than in the same period a year ago, according to Expert-Rating in its report confirming the insurance company’s financial stability rating at “uaAA+” on the national scale.
According to the RA, the share of insurance premiums belonging to reinsurers grew 2.3 times in the company, while in the structure of gross premiums it decreased by 0.34 percentage points (pp) to 2.04%.
In the first half of the year, BBC Insurance made 89.2% more insurance payments and reimbursements than in the same period a year ago, and the level of payments increased by 0.43 p.p. to 35.62%.
The company’s equity as of the reporting date increased by 19.92% to UAH 175.52 million, and its gross liabilities increased by 61.60% to UAH 358.22 million. Cash and cash equivalents increased by 61.36% to UAH 341.05 million, while the ratio of cash to liabilities decreased by 0.14 percentage points to 95.21%.
Thus, as of the beginning of the second half of 2025, IC “BBS Insurance” was secured by highly liquid assets, which covered 95.21% of its liabilities.
At the end of the first half of 2025, the company’s net profit increased by a third (+33.42%) compared to the same period in 2024, reaching UAH 23.9 million, while the company’s operating profit was slightly lower at UAH 10.67 million (-7.22%).
BBS Insurance has been operating in the Ukrainian insurance market for over 25 years and is represented in all regions of the country.
The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers will grant internally displaced persons who have worked continuously for six months an additional one-time payment of UAH 2,000 for living expenses, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced.
“Support for the employment of internally displaced persons. The government will grant internally displaced persons who have worked continuously for six months an additional one-time payment of UAH 2,000 for living expenses,” Svyrydenko wrote on a Telegram channel after a government meeting on Wednesday.
In addition, it is noted that internally displaced persons who are recipients of social benefits or housing allowances throughout Ukraine and have not received funds from international organizations will also be able to purchase solid fuels for the winter in the frontline areas.
“The average amount of payments will reach UAH 8,000. A total of 32,000 households are eligible for additional support. The payments will be made by the Pension Fund of Ukraine after the payments from international organizations are completed in November-December,” the prime minister said.
In December 2024, TAS Insurance Group (Kyiv) paid UAH 183.3 million under the concluded insurance contracts, which is 30.4% higher than the amount of the company’s indemnities for the same month in 2023.
According to the insurer’s website, about a quarter of the total volume of payments, or 22.02%, accounted for hull insurance – UAH 40.4 million, MTPL – 34.3%, or UAH 62.9 million (+13.6% compared to December 2023), and Green Card – 21.98%, or UAH 40.3 million (+13.5%).
The share of VHI in the company’s claims portfolio amounted to 18.1%, or UAH 33.2 million (+46.9%) in December.
Under other insurance contracts, the company paid UAH 6.62 million (+2.7 times).

The State PrivatBank (Kyiv) and the MasterCard international payment system have launched contactless fare payment at all metro stations in Dnipro, the bank’s press service reported on Thursday.
“In August 2022, as part of the program with MasterCard, the bank installed turnstiles with contactless payment technology with a bank card at four more stations of the Dniprovsky metro – Metrostroiteley, Prospekt Svobody, Metallurgov and Zavodskaya. Now you can pay for travel with a card or smartphone at all metro stations,” the statement said.
For two years of operation of such turnstiles at the stations “Vokzalnaya” and “Pokrovskaya” in the Dnieper, more than 420 thousand trips were paid contactlessly.
The press service noted that the Dnipro metro has become the second metro in Ukraine after the Kyiv one, where you can pay for travel with a card or an NFC device right at the turnstile.
