Mindy Charitable Foundation to conduct study of population mental health in war conditions

The Mindy Charitable Foundation, together with the Kantar Ukraine research center, intends to conduct a study of mental health of the population in war conditions.
The foundation told Interfax-Ukraine that the study will be carried out with the financial support of the charitable foundation and the volunteer cryptocoin UAFcoin, created by the Ukrainian crypto social network Sl8 (sl8.online) to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The first stage of the study started early August 2022. The respondents of the online survey will be citizens of Ukraine.
“The consequences of war include, in particular, long-term metal damage that in the future may negatively affect society, destroy families and communities, disrupt the development of the social and economic structure of nations. The study will help identify problem areas and improve mental health of the population, which plays a critical role on the way to victory in the war,” the foundation said.
The study will be conducted in Ukrainian cities with a population of more than 50,000 people. The age of the respondents is from 18 to 55 years. Study participants will be randomly selected from a representative sample. A team of Ukrainian psychologists and leading research institutes worked on the study program.
The purpose of this survey is to collect information that will provide answers to the level of formation of a culture of psychological assistance and the needs for its formation and development, to determine the state of mental and social health of Ukrainians. This study will help in the work of volunteer and government organizations that provide support to Ukrainians during the war.
Mindy Charitable Foundation is a charitable foundation that implements a nationwide social and humanitarian program for the reintegration of war victims into active life. The Foundation specializes in psychological aid, physical rehabilitation on the basis of the partner international network of REGUS business centers, support in prosthetics, vocational guidance and training in various industries, employment by quotas and social adaptation.

ACCORDING TO SURVEY, WAR FORCED 20% OF POPULATION OF UKRAINE TO LEAVE THEIR HOMES, IN EAST OF COUNTRY IT IS ALMOST 60%

20% of the adult population of all Ukraine had to change their place of residence, while more of those who are forced to leave are in the eastern regions of the country (58%) and among young people (33%), according to the results of the nationwide survey “Socio-economic problems during the war”, conducted by the sociological group “Rating” on April 26.
The results of the study note that the rate of 20% of those who left their homes has remained unchanged since mid-March.
Since the beginning of April, the number of those who plan to return home in the near future has slightly decreased (from 29% to 22%). But there were more of those who would like to return, but a little later (from 24% to 31%). The number of those who intend to return home has hardly changed, but after the war (43%).
33% of respondents noted that they attended church on Easter, 67% did not attend. This is a higher figure than during the first quarantine (April 2020), but lower than it was before 2020. Most of those who were in church on Easter were among the inhabitants of the western regions and the rural population.
In the course of the study, 1,000 respondents over 18 years of age and older were interviewed using the CATI method (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews – telephone interviews using a computer) in all areas, except for the temporarily occupied territories. The sample is representative in terms of age, gender and type of settlement, the error of the representativeness of the study with a confidence probability of 0.95 is no more than 3.1%.
