TURKISH PRESIDENT AGAIN PROPOSES PUTIN TO ORGANIZE TALKS WITH ZELENSKY IN ISTANBUL

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, repeated his proposal to upgrade the talks in Istanbul to the level of leaders, the Turkish presidential administration said.
“President Erdogan reiterated his proposal to elevate the Istanbul process, an important stage for negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, to the level of leaders,” the Turkish presidential administration said on Twitter on Tuesday.
Emphasizing the importance of ensuring the ceasefire, the effective operation of humanitarian corridors and the safe conduct of the evacuation, Erdogan said that Turkey will continue to make every effort to end the current state of affairs, which is detrimental to everyone, and establish a lasting peace.
“President Erdogan noted that the continuation of the positive momentum achieved in the Istanbul talks to pave the way for peace will benefit everyone,” the message says.

TURKISH COMPANY PLANS TO INVEST IN CONSTRUCTION OF COMBINED CYCLE POWER PLANT IN SOUTH OF UKRAINE

Turkish Aksa Enerji Uretim A.Ş. plans to invest in the construction of a combined cycle power plant in Izmail (Odesa region) with a capacity of 260 MW.
A memorandum of understanding between the Odesa Regional State Administration, the Izmail City Council, Aksa Enerji and Marzhinal LLC (Mykolaiv, the ultimate beneficiaries are a number of Turkish individuals) was signed on August 9, according to the Regional State Administration’s Facebook page.
According to the report, Aksa Enerji is ready to invest in the construction of the plant and accompany its operation on the basis of a 25-year agreement on the purchase of electricity, with subsequent transfer to the state ownership.
“The power plant will consist of a gas turbine and/or engines and a steam turbine with a total installed capacity of 260 MW, and all power plant equipment, including all related substation equipment such as step-up transformers and switchgear, will be provided, installed and commissioned by Aksa,” Vice-Chairman of Aksa Enerji Serdar Nişli said.

PRESIDENT OF UKRAINE TO MEET WITH TURKISH PRESIDENT RECEP TAYYIP ERDOĞAN

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will pay a working visit to the Republic of Turkey (Istanbul) on Friday, October 16.
During the visit, Zelensky will meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
“It is planned to discuss a wide range of issues of relations between Ukraine and Turkey, as well as the signing of a number of bilateral documents,” the press service said.

DCH BECOMES STRATEGIC PARTNER OF TURKISH MAKYOL IN UKRAINE

DCH Group owned by businessman Oleksandr Yaroslavsky is a strategic partner of Turkish company Makyol, which as part of the Black Sea Consortium won a tender for the construction of a road through the Barabashovo Market in Kharkiv worth UAH 96.2 million, the press service of DCH Group told Interfax-Ukraine.
“DCH is a local strategic partner of Makyol that provides consultations on a wide range of issues, including contacts in the business environment and project management,” it said.
In February 2020, Yaroslavsky, who is the president and owner of DCH Group, said that he was working with a strategic international partners.
“It is a well-known company. We are ready to open up a new for DCH sphere together with it,” he told reporters during a road construction forum titled “Sewing Ukraine Together.”
Makyol was set up in 1965. It is one of the largest construction companies in Turkey. The company’s core business is infrastructure development (roads, subway, airports, irrigation dams, tunnels, bridges), commercial and residential real estate, as well as investment in tourism.

TURKISH PRESIDENT RECEP TAYYIP ERDOGAN TO VISIT UKRAINE ON MONDAY

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Ukraine on Monday, February 3, the press service of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reported. During the visit, a meeting with Zelensky and the holding of the eighth meeting of the Ukraine-Turkey High Level Strategic Council are planned. The parties will discuss ways to deepen strategic partnership and cooperation in all areas, after which the signing of Ukrainian-Turkish bilateral documents and a joint meeting with media representatives at 13:40 at the Mariyinsky Palace are expected.
Zelensky and Erdogan will also visit the Ukrainian-Turkish business forum, which will be held at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
