President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a decree on the appointment of Rostyslav Shurma as Deputy Head of the President’s Office.Corresponding document No. 592/2021 was published on the website of the head of state. Shurma will be responsible for the economic block of activities of the President’s Office, the press service of the head of state said.”The preparation of programs to stimulate economic development and increase energy efficiency is among the priority tasks,” Shurma emphasized.Rostyslav Shurma is former director general of Zaporizhstal PJSC (from 2012 to 2019). In the 2019 parliamentary elections, he ran for the Verkhovna Rada as part of the Opposition Bloc party (No. 6 on the list).On May 21, 2021, he was appointed a member of the Supervisory Board of Ukroboronprom State Corporation by presidential decree No. 209/2021.As reported, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Yulia Svyrydenko, at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada on November 4, 2021 was appointed First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Health of Ukraine is interested in attracting all concerned official religious communities in the vaccination campaign, First Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine Oleksandr Komarida has said.”We see this as helping the state, citizens and parishioners. We take for granted all places that want to help people protect themselves,” said Komarida during the opening ceremony of a vaccination center in the capital’s Ar-Rahma mosque. As reported, the center will be open daily from 9:00 to 16:00. Anyone over 18 years of age can be vaccinated, as well as adolescents aged 12 and over if they have all routine vaccinations, according to the vaccination schedule.
Two American Island-type boats, which the United States has given to Ukraine as part of material-technical assistance, have arrived in Ukraine on board a cargo vessel, the Ukrainian Navy’s press service said.”Two Island-type boats, which have been given the names the Fastiv and the Sumy, arrived today, on November 23, on board the Ocean Grand vessel from Baltimore, Maryland, the U.S.,” the press service said.The Ukrainian Navy ensign will be hoisted on the Fastiv and the Sumy soon, after which they will begin performing their duties maintaining security in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov under the command of Ukrainian crews, it said.A new group of Ukrainian sailors earlier took part in a passing out ceremony at a U.S. Coast Guard shipyard after taking a six-week training course to operate Island-type boats, the press service said.
After a 0.7% decline in September in October 2021, industrial production in Ukraine returned to growth and grew by 1.4% compared to October 2020, the State Statistics Service reported on Tuesday.The authority said that, adjusted for the effect of calendar days, industrial production in October 2021 compared to October 2020 rose even more – by 2.2% versus a decline of 0.9% a month earlier.According to statistics, the increase in production was recorded in all sectors: in the extractive industry – by 0.6%, in the processing industry – by 0.4%, but the largest contribution came from the supply of electricity, gas, steam and conditioned air – 7.6%.The State Statistics Service said that compared with September this year, industrial production in the country increased 7.8%, and taking into account the seasonal adjustment it grew by 1.9%.Thanks to such indicators, in January-October of this year, the growth of industrial year-over-year remained at the level of 1.4%, including1.1% in the extractive industry, 1.5% in processing, and 1.7% in the supply of electricity, gas, steam and conditioned air.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has thanked the IMF for allocating a tranche of $ 700 million to Ukraine under the Stand-By Arrangement.”Grateful to the IMF Board of Governors for the decision to complete the review of the Stand-By program on the allocation of a tranche of about $ 700 million. The State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection has submitted to the Chinese side the lists of Ukrainian producers of vegetable oil exporting it to China for approval, this measure is due to the requirement introduced in the PRC to register foreign food producers.The changes in the procedure for the export of food products that occurred in the national legislation of the PRC in October this year were reported on the website of the State Food Service.The agency clarified that, together with the Ukroliyaprom association, it collected and submitted information about Ukrainian exporters of vegetable oil for consideration by the Chinese side.The service clarified that China will complete the registration procedure and form a list of vegetable oil exporters by the end of 2021.The agency stressed that it is working on opening the Chinese market for poultry, eggs and egg products, wheat, rapeseeds, sorghum, peas and beans, cherries, wheat flour, soybean meal, apples, blueberries, etc.As reported, in January-July 2021, China imported Ukrainian agricultural products for $2.4 billion, India – for $947 million, the Netherlands – for $908 million, Spain – for $538 million. In total, the export of Ukrainian agricultural products for the seven months of 2021 increased by 6.7% compared to January-July 2020 – to $12.5 billion, imports – by 19.4%, to $4.19 billion.
