INTERPIPE SUPPLIES PREMIUM PIPES TO UZBEKISTAN

Interpipe, the international vertically integrated pipe and wheel company, continues to develop the export of premium pipe products by supplying premium pipes UPJ-F to Uzbekistan.
“We continue to develop the export of our premium products. This time, the Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe has successfully supplied casing pipes with a premium UPJ-F sleeveless connection to our permanent partner Uzbekneftegaz, the national holding corporation of Uzbekistan,” Interpipe said on Facebook.
At the same time, it is explained that this company is engaged in geological exploration, production and processing of oil and gas. Interpipe has been cooperating with it for several years, selling pipe products for the construction of oil and gas wells. But this order is special: Interpipe for the first time delivered 500 tonnes of UPJ-F casing to a client from the CIS, the report explains.
“The complexity of the order consisted not only in high-precision production, the client asked to ship the first batch as soon as possible. In total, over the past six months, Interpipe has supplied Uzbekneftegaz with almost 2,000 tonnes of pipes of various assortments,” the group said in a press release.
The company expects that the supply of premium products to gas wells in Uzbekistan will strengthen the position of Interpipe in the market of sleeveless connections in the Central Asian region.
Interpipe is a Ukrainian industrial company, a manufacturer of seamless pipes and railway wheels. The company’s products are supplied to more than 80 countries around the world through a network of sales offices located in key markets of the CIS, the Middle East, North America and Europe.

SKYUP TO OPERATE FLIGHTS TO UZBEKISTAN

SkyUp Airlines, according to the released information, plans to operate four flights from Kyiv to Tashkent (Uzbekistan). They are scheduled for March 4, 11, 18 and 25.
Upon arrival in Uzbekistan, citizens of Ukraine must sign a commitment to undergo mandatory 14-day self-isolation at their place of residence or hotel.
Regardless of the presence of a certificate of the absence of COVID-19, upon arrival in Uzbekistan, citizens of Ukraine are required to undergo express testing for antigens to COVID-19 at their own expense.

UZBEKISTAN RESUMES UKRAINIAN CONFECTIONARY IMPORTS

Uzbekistan from December 17 fully resumed customs clearance of goods of Ukrainian origin, including confectionary products, the Ukrkondprom association has reported. According to the association, manufacturers traditionally export the largest amount of confectionary during the New Year and Christmas holidays, so the lack of access to the Uzbek market during this period would cause significant damage to Ukrainian exporters.
As reported, Uzbekistan in the middle of November 2018 suspended customs clearance of goods from Ukraine without official explanation of the reasons. On November 11, the Ukrtsukor association of sugar manufacturers announced a gradual customs clearance of goods of Ukrainian origin.

UZBEKISTAN PROVIDES UKRAINIAN PHARMA COMPANIES WITH ANNUAL SALES OF UP TO $50 MLN

Uzbekistan provides Ukrainian pharmaceutical companies operating in the country with annual sales of $49-50 million, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Ukraine Alisher Abdualiyev has said. “We literally a month and a half ago met with the management of the Farmak enterprise. This enterprise occupies one of the leading positions of Ukrainian pharmaceutical exports to Uzbekistan. In addition, the major suppliers are Ukrainian companies Arterium, YURiA-PHARM and others. We provide them with annual sales at the level of $49-50 million,” he said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
At the same time, Abdualiyev said that Ukrainian pharmaceutical products in Uzbekistan are exempted from VAT.
In addition, the ambassador recalled that in Uzbekistan in six regions of the republic, seven special pharmaceutical zones have been established that will enjoy benefits and preferences.
“A representative of Farmak has already visited Uzbekistan, looked at possible sites for the future enterprise. The other day we are to meet, discuss all issues and organize negotiations of the Farmak head in Uzbekistan,” he said.

UKRAINIAN FARMAK TO INVEST $10 MLN IN CONSTRUCTION OF PLANT IN UZBEKISTAN

PJSC Farmak (Kyiv), among top three leaders of the pharmaceutical sector of Ukraine, plans to invest $10 million in construction of a pharmaceutical plant in Uzbekistan, the company’s press service has reported. “With a view to the export development, Farmak is considering an investment project with investment of $10 million to localize production in the Republic of Uzbekistan with the launch of production in bulk and a gradual transition to full-cycle production, with the development of technologically more complex products, in particular, radiopaque and biotechnological products,” the press service of the company said, citing Chairperson of the supervisory board Filia Zhebrovska.
At present, Farmak is fourth in sales in the pharmaceutical market of Uzbekistan, the portfolio of products sold in this country totals 120 items.
The company said that the head of the Farmak’s supervisory board and Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Ukraine Alisher Abdualiyev have already agreed on the construction of the plant.
“The new production facility of Farmak will expand the range of medicines that are produced in Uzbekistan, reduce dependence on imported production and create a basis for further expansion of the pharmaceutical cluster,” Abdualiyev said.
Farmak is a member of the Association Manufacturers of Medications of Ukraine (AMMU).

SUMY NPO TO DELIVER EQUIPMENT FOR $3.7 MLN TO GROSSMANN GROUP FOR PAMUK BOOSTING COMPRESSOR STATION IN UZBEKISTAN

Public joint-stock company Sumy Machine-Building Science and Production Association (Sumy NPO) is preparing for the delivery of equipment for modernization of gas pumping units of the Pamuk boosting compressor station (Uzbekistan) for the amount of $3.7 million.
The company said that the supervisory board of the company on May 17, 2018 approved the signing of the respective contract with Ingenieurbüro Reinhold Großmann GmbH & Co KG (Germany), part of the Grossmann Group.
Grossmann Group implements comprehensive engineering turn-key projects in the oil, gas and chemical industries, as well as environment and resources.
Sumy Machine-Building Science and Production Association is one of the biggest producers in Europe of gas re-pumping units and outfitted compressor stations for various uses: centrifugal, vacuum, and chemical pumps, and centrifuges and other equipment for the chemicals gas and oil-refining industries.
