Prosecutors of the Lutsk District Prosecutor’s Office have found a historical monument – a carved stone slab of the twelfth and thirteenth centuries depicting two angels, the Prosecutor General’s Office reported on its telegram channel.
“The unique find will be transferred to the National Museum of History of Ukraine to conduct a study of its scientific, historical, cultural and artistic value,” the statement said.
Earlier, law enforcement officers rescued from illegal sale at an online auction a 12th- to 13th-century plate depicting the Holy Warrior, which is also a monument of the period of Kievan Rus.
Both artifacts were found as part of the investigation of criminal proceedings on the fact of misappropriation of found or other property that accidentally came into the possession of a person (Part 1 of Article 193 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by the Lutsk District Police Department of the Main National Police in Volyn region.
Switzerland’s Nestlé, the world’s largest producer of food and soft drinks, has launched the announced construction of a plant to manufacture pasta and other food products in the Smolyhiv village, Torchyna district, Volyn region. Earlier the company invested CHF40 million (nearly $45 million) in the project, business.rayon reported.
Alessandro Zanelli, general director of Nestlé in Ukraine and Southeast Europe, expressed confidence Wednesday at a ceremony marking the start of construction that the plant in Torchin will become a European regional hub for the culinary category.
“I’ve seen Ukrainian cities that were destroyed after all kinds of attacks and how they were rebuilt within a year. The Ukrainians are working successfully to rebuild the infrastructure. Of course, we are calculating the possible risks, but we are confident that we are doing the right thing. Ukraine is worth investing in,” said Marco Sattembri, executive vice president of Nestlé and chief executive of the European zone.
It is specified that at the first stage of work the enterprise will create 300-400 workplaces. Specialists from Kharkov, where there is already a factory producing instant noodles “Mivina”, and local staff are involved in the work at the plant.
Nestle is one of the world’s largest food producers, headquartered in Vevey, Switzerland. The company has 376 factories in 84 countries and produces chocolate and confectionery products, ready-made breakfasts, pet food, baby and medical food, coffee, mineral water, etc. Its portfolio includes more than 2 thousand brands, including Nestle, Nescafe, KitKat, Gerber and Maggi.
Nestle in Ukraine produces coffee and beverages, confectionary, culinary products (cold sauces, seasonings, soups, instant food), baby and special food, ready-made breakfasts and pet food. The most famous Ukrainian brands of the company are Svitoch, Torchin and Miwina.
As reported, in December 2022, Nestle announced its decision to open the production of “Mivina” in Volyn.
Wind Power GSI Volyn LLC intends to build a wind power plant with a capacity of 150 MW in Ivanychi and Volodymyr-Volynsky districts of Volyn region.
According to the website of the unified register of environmental impact assessment, within the framework of the project, it is planned to install 28 wind turbines in the territory of Ivanychi district and 1 wind facility in the territory of Volodymyr-Volynsky district with a capacity of up to 7 MW each. The tower height is up to 166 meters, the rotor diameter is up to 170 meters.
It is also planned to build a high-voltage substation of 35/110 kV with an area of up to 1 hectare with transformer equipment to ensure the reception and transmission of generated electricity from the station to the network. The transmission of electricity generated at the wind farm to the unified state power grid will be carried out through the existing 330 kV Novovolynsk substation of Ukrenergo.
The wind farm is expected to generate about 540,000 MWh of “green” electricity.
According to the data of the Unified state register of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, Wind Power GSI Volyn (Lviv) belongs to Greenville closed non-diversified venture corporate investment fund. The ultimate beneficiary is Ivan Torsky, the director general of TKS Development Holding.
Volyn West Wind 1, 2, 3 LLC (Volyn region) plans to build two wind farms with a capacity of 63 MW each and a wind farm with a capacity of 72 MW, according to information on the website of the environment assessment register.
Under the project it is planned to install 44 turbines with a capacity of up to 4.5 MW each. The height of the tower will be up to 125 meters. The area required for placing one turbine is 0.35 ha.
In addition, it is planned to build a 110 kV/35 kV substation and a 110 kV/35 kV power line.
The tentative useful life of the wind farms is 20 years.
According to the unified public register of companies, Volyn West Wind 1, 2, 3 LLC belongs to UDP Renewables of Vasyl Khmelnytsky and UDP Renewables Managing Partner Serhiy Yevtushenko.
As reported, UDP Renewables together with Spain’s Acciona Energia Global intends to build two solar power plants in Odesa region with a capacity of almost 44 MW by the end of 2019. Total investment in projects is EUR 30.6 million.
The Perlyna Turiyi farm in November 2018 will launch a first stage of a dairy complex for UAH 15 million in Zadyby, Volyn region. According to a posting on the website of the Volyn Regional Administration, the construction of the complex began in 2018. The construction of the barn with a designed capacity of 280 heads, a gallery, a dairy block and a lagoon are currently being completed. The milking parlor will be equipped with a carousel installation for 24 heads made by Swedish company DeLaval.
“The farm purchased 166 heads of foreign breeding heifers (Germany, Poland), for which UAH 3.2 million was partially reimbursed from the national budget. To complete the dairy complex, another 100 heads of foreign breeding heifers are planned to be purchased,” the administration said.
The regional administration said that the second stage of the dairy complex, a barn for 280 animals and a room for dry wood and calves are being built synchronously. The facility is planned to be launched in 2019, bringing the number of cows to 660 heads, and the total livestock – to 2,000 heads of cattle.
The Perlyna Turiyi farm (Volyn region) is engaged in the cultivation of grains and oilseeds, dairy cattle breeding, milk processing, the production of butter, cheese and products of the milling industry, wholesale trade in meat and meat products. According to the unified public register of legal entities and individuals, the ultimate beneficiary of the farm is Volodymyr Yarenchuk.
AGRICULTURAL FARM, DAIRY COMPLEX, PERLYNA TURIYI, VOLYN REGION
Piatydni LLC (Volyn region) will launch an elevator with a capacity of almost 70,000 tonnes of grain and oilseeds in Volodymyr-Volynsky (Volyn region) in 2018.
According to a report on the website of Volyn Regional State Administration, the value of the object is $8 million.
The construction of the elevator began in February of this year. It will provide a full range of services for accepting, cleaning, drying, storing and shipping grain and oilseeds.
“Modern equipment and the availability of several lines allow simultaneously receiving not only different crops, but also grain of different quality and humidity. In addition, the elevator will load trains with raw materials for exports,” the administration said.
The company will be able to ship 25 wagons per day. Some 80 jobs will be created here.
Piatydni LLC was established in 2006. It specializes in production, processing and sale of agricultural products, cultivates almost 16,500 hectares of land.
