FOUR COMPANIES PLAN TO TAKE PART IN CONCESSION COMPETITION FOR UKRAINIAN KHERSON SEAPORT

According to the results of the 60-day deadline for accepting applications for the tender for the transfer of property of state enterprise Kherson Maritime Merchant Port to concession, four companies will take part in it, two of which are international, Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Krykliy has said at a briefing in Kyiv. Among the companies that applied for participation in the tender are Busserk Liman Isletme Loj (Turkey), Special Company Kherson Sea Port LLC (Asket Shipping and Global Grain Consortium, Ukraine), Risoil-Kherson LLC (Petro Oil and Chemicals and AT RISOIL consortium, Georgia and Switzerland), as well as Ukrmorport LLC (Ukraine).
As reported, the government announced the start of tenders for pilot concession projects in the port industry on September 12, 2019. An agreement will be concluded with the winner of each tender, the parties to which will be the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority, the winner of the tender, as well as the company (SPV, the so called special purpose vehicle), which will be created and registered as the winner of the tender in Ukraine for the implementation of the project.
Feasibility studies for pilot projects were developed by a consortium of international consultants, formed by the EBRD and the IFC. In preparing the feasibility study, a systematic analysis of the market was carried out, and financial, technical, environmental and legal examinations were conducted. In addition, meetings were held with potential domestic and foreign private partners in order to take into account their proposals for the implementation of projects.

IRISH LOW COST AIRLINE RYANAIR TO LAUNCH FLIGHTS FROM KHERSON TO KATOWICE

The Irish low cost airline Ryanair (Dublin) will launch direct flights from Kherson to Katowice (Poland) from January 15, 2020.
According to the airline’s reservation system, flights will be operated twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays. The flight duration is two hours.
The cost of one ticket without baggage is from EUR19.27.
The actual operator will be the Polish low cost airline Buzz (formerly Ryanair Sun), which is part of Ryanair Group.
As reported, earlier Ryanair announced the start of flights from Kherson to Poland’s Krakow and Vienna (Austria).
Kherson became the fifth city in Ukraine, from which the Irish low cost air carrier operates.
In 2020, Ryanair intends to increase passenger traffic on Ukrainian flights by 33%, to more than 2.1 million people.
Ryanair entered the Ukrainian market in 2018. For the first months, the low cost carrier performed flights from Boryspil Airport and Lviv. In June 2019, the airline began operating flights from Kharkiv and Odesa, then announced flights from Kherson.

IRELAND’S LOW COST RYANAIR TO LAUNCH FLIGHTS FROM KHERSON TO VIENNA

Ireland’s low cost Ryanair to launch flights from Kherson to Vienna
Ireland’s low cost airline Ryanair (Dublin) from March 30, 2020 will launch direct flights from Kherson to Vienna (Austria).
In the airline’s booking system, the start of flights is announced on March 30.
Kherson-Vienna flights will be operated twice a week – on Mondays, departure from Kherson at 18:15 and on Fridays with departure at 21:50.
Travel time is 2 hours and 5 minutes.
The flights will be served by subsidiary of Ryanair – Lauda (formerly Laudamotion).
As reported, earlier Ryanair announced the start of flights from Kherson to Krakow (Poland).
Kherson became the fifth city in Ukraine, where the Irish low-cost airline operates.
In 2020, Ryanair intends to increase passenger traffic on Ukrainian flights by 33% to more than 2.1 million people.

IRISH LOW COST AIRLINE RYANAIR LAUNCHES FLIGHTS FROM KHERSON TO KRAKOW

The Irish low cost airline Ryanair (Dublin) launches direct flights from Kherson to Krakow on December 21, 2019.
Flights will be operated twice a week, Infrastructure Minister Vladyslav Krykliy said during a briefing after meeting with Ryanair Chief Commercial Officer David O’Brien in Kyiv.
Ryanair entered the Ukrainian market in 2018. The first months the low cost carrier operated flights from Boryspil and Lviv airports. In June 2019, the airline began flights from Kharkiv and Odesa.
As reported, Ryanair from April 2020 will begin to fly on the Lviv-Budapest route.
Ryanair daily operates over 2,400 flights to/from 200 airports located in 37 countries. Last fiscal year, the company transported 130.3 million people. Its fleet has 460 Boeing-737 aircraft.

GLOVO DELIVERY SERVICE LAUNCHES IN KHERSON

Glovo international delivery service started its operations in Kherson, a company’s press service reported.
“Since October 1, residents of the city can use Glovo delivery services. This is the eleventh city on the Ukrainian map, where the Spanish service will operate delivering whatever you want within the city limits,” the report said.
Glovo couriers deliver almost everything that fits the size of a backpack up to nine kilograms. The cost of the Courier service is fixed and totals UAH 69.
Glovo (Spain) international delivery service started operation in Kyiv in October 2018.
Mykolaiv is the eighth Ukrainian city to welcome Glovo. The service has been already launched in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Lviv, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhia, Poltava, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv and Kherson.

REIKARTZ OPENS APART-HOTEL IN KHERSON

Reikartz Hotel Management LLC (Kyiv), the managing company of the national hotel chain Reikartz Hotel Group, has signed an agreement on management of Rishelyevsky apartment hotel in Kherson on 40 Rishelyevska Street. As the hotel operator reported on its website, the apart-hotel will join the chain and since September 1, 2019 will start its work under the brand Raziotel Kherson.
A hotel room capacity is 50 rooms of various categories. Infrastructure includes a conference hall that can sit 100 persons, a lobby bar, and an indoor parking under guard.
Reikartz Hotel Management was set up in 2008.
According to the Unified Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs as of August 9, 2019, the participants of the company are Volodymyr Kashutin (Lviv) with 99.89% of shares, Identex-Ukraine LLC with 0.1%. The final beneficiaries, apart from Kashutin, are Leonid Lavrentyev and Timur Rodionov.
A charter capital of the company is UAH 60,900.
Reikartz began its activity in the field of hotel services in Ukraine in 2003 after a group of Belgian architects, led by Francois Ryckaerts, had acquired an old mansion in Drukarska Street in the center of Lviv.
Reikartz Hotel Group unites 42 hotels in Ukraine and two in Sweden and Germany.
