SKYUP FROM UKRAINE READY TO TRANSFER 15 BOEING-737 AIRCRAFT ON WET LEASE (WITH CREW) TO FOREIGN AIRLINES

SkyUp Airlines (Kyiv) is ready to transfer 15 Boeing-737 aircraft on wet lease (with crew) to foreign airlines that do not fly to Russia and Belarus.
“We, the Ukrainian airline SkyUp Airlines, appeal to the global aviation family to support us and Ukraine in this fight. In our fleet, we have 15 medium-haul Boeing-737 aircraft, the average age of which is 12 years. They are all ready to work and available for wet leasing,” the airline said on its website.
SkyUp said that “by using our aircraft, you will help us continue our operational activities during the war and pay taxes to the state treasury, save 1,300 employees and support the affected Ukrainians as we will send every tenth dollar or euro to help the victims of the war.”
As reported, from 2:45 Kyiv time on February 24, 2022, the airspace of Ukraine is closed for civil traffic.

UKRAINIAN AIRLINE SKYUP LAUNCHES FLIGHTS FROM KIEV TO MADRID

The Ukrainian airline SkyUp opens flights from Kiev to the Spanish capital Madrid. The first flight is scheduled for October 18, the airline’s press service has said.
“SkyUp Airlines opens flights Kiev – Madrid – Kiev. It will be possible to travel twice a week: on Mondays and Fridays. Departures from Kyiv are scheduled in the morning,” the airline said.

UKRAINIAN SKYUP ADDS MEDIUM-HAUL BOEING TO ITS FLEET

SkyUp (Kyiv) added its 14th aircraft to its fleet, a medium-haul Boeing 737-800NG for 189 passengers.
The airline said on its website on Saturday, this is the eighth aircraft of this model in the SkyUp fleet.
The plane arrived in Kyiv in a branded livery, equipped with split winglets Split Scimitar.
Aircraft registration number is UR-SQP, manufacture year is 2006.
The new aircraft is ready for operation and will be scheduled as soon as all necessary permits have been received.

SKYUP FROM KIEV ACQUIRES 13TH AIRCRAFT

SkyUp (Kyiv) has acquired the thirteenth aircraft for its fleet – a medium-haul Boeing 737-800NG for 189 passengers.
The airline reported on Facebook this is the seventh aircraft of this model in the SkyUp fleet.
“The bird’s name is Oscar, registration number is UR-SQO. The aircraft was manufactured in 2012, passed a thorough technical check. Now it is equipped with Blended Winglets. You can meet our Oscar on international and domestic SkyUp routes,” the airline said.
CEO of SkyUp Airlines Dmytro Seroukhov, in turn, noted on his Facebook page that the company’s fleet will soon be replenished with two more aircraft.
“The 13th bird is at home! Many thanks to the whole team for this, I know how difficult it was, but we all did it! Very soon the SkyUp park will be replenished with the 14th and 15th aircraft,” he wrote.
SkyUp Airlines LLC was registered in Kyiv in June 2016. The founders are Tetiana and Yuriy Alba’s ACS-Ukraine LLC, which also owns the JoinUp! tour operator.

UKRAINE INTERNATIONAL AIRLINES AND SKYUP LAUNCH FLIGHTS TO NICE

Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) is launching seasonal flights on the Kyiv-Nice-Kyiv route from August 8, the restoration of air traffic became possible due to the mitigation of epidemiological requirements on the part of France.
The press service of UIA reported that flights to Nice will be operated every Tuesday and Sunday: departure from Kyiv will be at 09:30, arrival in Nice at 11:35; back – departure at 12:35, arrival at 16:30.
Flights will last until September 29.
In turn, SkyUp Airlines will launch flights on this route from August 19.
As noted on the airline’s Facebook page, they will be carried out on Thursdays and Sundays.
In addition, from August 20, SkyUp will launch flights on the Kyiv-Paris/Beauvais-Kyiv route. They will run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

UKRAINIAN SKYUP CANCELS ODESA-THESSALONIKI FLIGHT DUE TO INSUFFICIENT NUMBER OF PASSENGERS

SkyUp Airlines is canceling Odesa-Thessaloniki-Odesa flight, which was opened on July 6.
The indicated direction was removed from the schedule due to insufficient number of people. At the same time, the first flights (to Thessaloniki on July 6 and back to Odesa on July 13) are being operated according to the schedule, the press service of the company informed the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
Passengers of subsequent flights that will not be operated (starting from July 13 to Thessaloniki and back from July 20 to Odesa) were offered two options at SkyUp: change the plane to Kyiv – Thessaloniki – Kyiv flight with the same departure dates; request a refund, including through the passenger’s balance in the personal account on the airline’s website. Previously, the airline company planned to operate this route once a week – on Tuesdays.
