UKRAINIAN COURT ARRESTS 154 OBJECTS OF PROPERTY OF VIKTOR MEDVEDCHUK AND OKSANA MARCHENKO

The Lychakivsky District Court of Lviv, on the proposal of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) and the Office of the Prosecutor General, arrested 154 objects of movable and immovable property of People’s Deputy of Ukraine Viktor Medvedchuk and his wife Oksana Marchenko.
“Among those arrested: 26 cars, 30 land plots, 23 houses, 32 apartments, 17 parking spaces and a motor yacht. Shares in authorized capital in 25 companies, the beneficial owner of which is Viktor Medvedchuk or his wife, were also arrested,” the press release said. RBI service on Facebook.
Earlier, the court had already arrested the yacht and part of Medvedchuk’s real estate.
As reported, on Tuesday evening, a photograph of Medvedchuk in military uniform and handcuffs appeared on the Telegram channel of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. It was accompanied by the text “A special operation was carried out thanks to the SBU. Well done!”
Zelensky offered Russia to exchange Medvedchuk for Ukrainian citizens who are held captive by the Russian military.
The head of the SBU, Ivan Bakanov, said that the FSB planned to take Medveduk through Transnistria to Moscow. According to him, under the guise of a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he was supposed to be taken to the border and transported by boat to the other side, where the FSB special forces evacuation group was already waiting for him, which, according to the plan, was supposed to deliver him to Moscow.
“This allowed operatives, SBU investigators to detain Medvedchuk on the road … near the border of the Kiev region or at the exit from the Kiev region. All this time, Medvedchuk was accompanied by Ukrainian law enforcement officers, who, in my opinion, will also be responsible for their actions,” Bakanov said.

22 THOUSAND UKRAINIAN TEACHERS MOVE ABROAD BECAUSE OF WAR

Education and Science Minister Serhiy Shkarlet says nearly 22,000 Ukrainian teachers have moved abroad because of the war.
“Today, according to statistics, we are constantly updating it, there are almost 22 thousand teachers who have moved outside the territory of Ukraine,” Shkarlet said in an interview on the air of the national telethon on Thursday morning.
The minister also noted that today in Ukraine more than 10 million people are in the status of temporarily displaced people, of which about 3.5 million people are abroad.
“Approximately 25% of them are children of school age or students. Thus, we have 2.5 million students and schoolchildren who were forced to move,” he added.
Shkarlet said that in one way or another all the countries of the European Union help Ukrainian teachers, pupils and students, but he especially noted Greece, France, Poland, the Czech Republic, the Baltic countries, and Slovenia.

OFFICE OF PROSECUTOR GENERAL OF UKRAINE: 197 CHILDREN HAVE ALREADY DIED AS RESULT OF WAR IN UKRAINE

As a result of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, 197 children were killed, 351 children were injured, the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General reports.
“More than 548 children have suffered in Ukraine since February 24, 2022 as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. At the same time, 197 children died and more than 351 were injured of varying severity. According to the data received by juvenile prosecutors, children in the Donetsk region – 115, Kiev – 105, Kharkiv – 81, Chernihiv – 54, Mykolaiv – 40, Kherson – 38, Luhansk – 36, Zaporizhzhia – 23, the capital – 16, Sumy – 16, Zhytomyr – 15,” the report said on Thursday morning.

MINISTER OF EDUCATION OF UKRAINE: ALL CONSTRUCTION, AGRICULTURAL, HIGH-TECH AND PEDAGOGICAL SPECIALTIES WILL BE PRIORITY IN STATE ORDER

Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Shkarlet says that when forming the state order for 2022, all construction, agricultural, high-tech and pedagogical specialties will be a priority.
“Today we are already working with the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Digital Transformation regarding the formation of a budget order for 2022. The focus will be on high-tech and post-war economic recovery,” Shkarlet said in an interview on Thursday morning’s national telethon.
According to the minister, the humanitarian block, highly competitive specialties: economics, social sciences, management, public administration, lawyers will not have a large share of state funds covered in the state budget.
At the same time, Shkarlet noted that builders, all agricultural, high-tech, pedagogical specialties will be a priority, including when applying to universities.
The Minister also stressed that the emphasis is on professional higher education.

PRESIDENT OF UKRAINE MEETS WITH PRESIDENTS OF POLAND, LITHUANIA, LATVIA AND ESTONIA IN KYIV

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting in Kyiv with President of Poland Andrzej Duda, President of Latvia Egils Levits, President of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda and President of Estonia Alar Karis, who are visiting Ukraine.
“The heads of state held a meeting in the format of a working lunch,” the press service of the President of Ukraine reports.
After the talks are over, the presidents will talk to media representatives.
