UKRAINE EXPORTS 3.9 MLN TONNES OF GRAIN SINCE JULY 1 TO AUGUST 15

Ukraine exported 3.894 million tonnes of grain from July 1, 2018, when the 2018/2019 marketing year began, to August 15, which was 5.4% down on the same date last year. In particular, about 1.67 million tonnes of wheat was shipped abroad, the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry said.
Barley exports totaled 1.15 million tonnes, and those of maize were 1.03 million tonnes.
Ukraine also exported 20,800 tonnes of flour by August 15, 2018.
Ukraine exported 39.4 million tonnes of grain in the 2017/2018 marketing year (July through June), the ministry said.

SECOND PHASE OF GAGARINN PLAZA TRADE CENTER IN ODESA TO OPEN IN Q4

Polax Ltd. (Odesa) of deputy of Odesa City Council Vasyl Shkriabai plans in the fourth quarter of 2018 to launch the second stage of the shopping and entertainment center Gagarinn Plaza with a leased area of 20,000 square meters in Odesa. The press service of JLL said the second stage of the Gagarinn Plaza shopping center will be the first shopping and leisure facility opened in Odesa since 2015. JLL acts as an exclusive consultant, Polax LLC is the developer of the facility.
According to JLL, Poland’s LPP and Wittchen, the chains Foxtrot (900 sq m), Chudo Ostriv (1,180 sq m), Zoloty Vik and others became leasers of the new stage.
The anchor tenants will be a Silpo supermarket (3,000 square meters) and the children’s entertainment center Dytiacha Planeta (2,200 square meters). The tenant of the entertainment zone will be Odesa’s first children’s city of professions Kid’s Will and the first eight-hall Multiplex cinema.
The area of the facility is designed for more than 320,000 people.
Polax LLX was established in 1996. It is engaged in leasing and management of own and rented real estate.

ITALY’S ALITALIA RECOGNIZED AS MOST PUNCTUAL FOREIGN AIR CARRIER IN UKRAINE AND WINDROSE AS MOST PUNCTUAL UKRAINIAN AIRLINE

Windrose (Kyiv) has been recognized by the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine as the most punctual Ukrainian airline in July 2018, while the most punctual foreign air carrier is Italy’s Alitalia. According to the rating of punctuality of airlines at airports in Ukraine for July 2018, posted on the Facebook page of Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan, the regularity (compliance with the announced time of departure) of flights by Ukrainian airlines was 70.2% (a total of 5,275 flights were performed). At the same time, the regularity of departure by foreign airlines amounted to 68.1% (a total of 2,331 flights).
Windrose ranked first in terms of punctuality among Ukrainian airlines. It carried out 90.8% of the flights on time, Motor Sich ranked second (86.7%), Ukraine International Airlines was third (UIA, 73.8%). The top five air carriers also include Azur Air Ukraine (67.5%), and FANair (47.5%).
Alitalia ranked first on punctuality among foreign airlines with 96.8% of the flights performed on time, Belavia ranked second (92.8%), and Qatarways third (91.8%). The top five included Georgian Airways (90.9%), and Air Baltic (88.1%).

UMG TO LAUNCH AMMONIUM SULPHATE PRODUCTION WORTH OVER UAH 200 MLN IN JULY 2019

UMG Holding Limited investment company, controlled by SCM Group, intends in July 2019 to launch production of granular ammonium sulphate worth more than UAH 200 million at Kryvy Rih Central Mining Equipment Repair Plant.
“We are at the design stage, after that the construction of the complex will begin, its launch is scheduled for July next year … The volume of investments will exceed UAH 200 million. Using this money, a complex will be built that is capable of handling 100,000 tonnes of ammonium sulphate per year. This is about four wagons per day. As for taxes, we expect that payments to the budgets of different levels will amount to UAH 60 million per year,” Oleksiy Afanasyev, the director general of Ukrainian Mineral Fertilizers LLC, said in the Theme of the Day program on the channel First City Channel. He said the building, which is supposed to be built, was purchased by Ukrainian Mineral Fertilizers. Some 74 new jobs will be created at the workplace.
According to the unified state register of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, the founders of Ukrainian Mineral Fertilizers LLC are UMG Holding Limited (Nicosia, Cyprus) and businessman Rinat Akhmetov.
The enterprise is engaged in wholesale trade in chemical products. It is registered on September 12, 2017.
