MAYOR VITALI KLITSCHKO: KYIV TO PREPARE OWN RESTORATION PLAN

Kyiv will have a restoration plan “one day after the war,” Mayor Vitali Klitschko told Interfax-Ukraine following talks at the World Economic Forum (WEF).
“Everyone is stressing that we should prepare a plan for the day after the war: where and what we plan to do,” he told Interfax-Ukraine on Wednesday on the sidelines of the Ukrainian Breakfast hosted by the Pinchuk Foundation in Davos, host of the WEF.
According to Klitschko, separate projects for the renewal of infrastructure, logistics and the construction of a number of facilities are planned even for wartime.
At the same time, the mayor said that due to problems with the execution of the national budget, the capital is experiencing difficulties in accessing its own funds in the State Treasury.
“We have the city’s money in the Treasury, but there is no money in the Treasury. That is, we have money virtually, but not really,” he said.
Answering the question whether it is possible in such circumstances, Kyiv, following the example of the government, will also turn to the issuance of war bonds, Klitschko said: “Maybe.”
In the middle of May, the mayor estimated the cost of restoring all damaged buildings in the city at more than EUR 70 million.

WEBSITE ABOUT UKRAINIAN EDUCATION SYSTEM WAS DEVELOPED FOR INTERNATIONAL EDUCATIONAL COMMUNITY

The Ministry of Education and Science informs that a website about the Ukrainian education system has been developed for the international educational community.

“MON, together with the Swiss-Ukrainian project DECIDE and with the support of the Swiss Embassy in Ukraine, launched the emergency.mon.gov.ua website for ministries of education, school directors and teachers in countries that have accepted Ukrainian preschoolers and schoolchildren. The resource highlights topical issues in the field of school education, as well as collected humanitarian needs that are necessary for the implementation of education in Ukraine,” the press service of the ministry said in a statement.

It is expected that the resource will help the international educational community to understand the educational trajectory of the child, in particular the knowledge and skills that he received while studying in Ukraine, as this information is necessary for the adaptation of the child to a new educational institution abroad.

In particular, the site contains information about the education system in Ukraine, the features of different levels of education, a brief description of the main educational programs for grades 1-11.

In addition, in the “Webinars” section, teachers can view specialized events on the system of Ukrainian education and school programs.

Also in the section on areas of assistance to Ukrainian education, which has suffered as a result of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the international educational community can find a list of needs and contact the Ukrainian Ministry of Education for further cooperation.
