NEW RULES OF AIR TRANSPORTATION OF PASSENGERS AND BAGGAGE COME INTO FORCE IN UKRAINE

The State Aviation Service of Ukraine has posted on its website the new rules of air transportation of passengers and baggage that have come into force.
The document, in particular, does not contain the norm on the mandatory free baggage allowance of a certain weight (previously 15 kg).
According to the new edition of the rules, information on the maximum amount and weight of baggage, accepted by the air carrier for transportation without payment, is specified in the rules of the air carrier and the contract of carriage provided to the passenger.
The State Aviation Service also legalized the new rules for charging fee for registration at the airport.
“Check-in at the airport is free of charge if it is provided for by the rules for applying the fare according to which the ticket was purchased and also if registration cannot be done via the airline’s website or using the self-service kiosk. Otherwise, the air carrier may charge an additional fee for check-in at the airport,” according to the rules.
The deadlines for check-in and boarding have also changed: now airlines can close check-in counters no earlier than 45 minutes before departure, and boarding gates no earlier than 15 minutes before departure (earlier 40 and 10 minutes respectively).

BOGDAN MOTORS POSTS NET PROFIT OF UAH 25.8 MLN IN 2018

Bogdan Motors automobile company, which unites the production assets of Bogdan Corporation, in 2018, according to preliminary data, received a net profit of UAH 25.83 million, while a year earlier its loss was UAH 957.19 million.
According to the agenda of a general meeting of shareholders scheduled for April 22, the uncovered loss of Bogdan Motors amounted to UAH 6.418 billion by the beginning of the current year.
According to the draft decision of the meeting, it is planned to keep profit undistributed and not to pay dividends.
The current liabilities of the company over the past year increased by almost 11.4%, to UAH 7.914 billion, while it had no long-term liabilities.
The total debtor indebtedness last year rose by 43.7%, to UAH 825.898 million, assets as a whole increased by 31%, to UAH 2.593 billion.
By January 1, 2019, the net worth of Bogdan Motors amounted to ‘minus’ UAH 5.231 billion, charter capital to UAH 1.101 billion.

ALLIANCEENERGO TO BUILD SOLAR PLANT IN UKRAINE

AllianceEnergo LLC (Kyiv) upon the request of PJSC Kyivoblenergo will build a solar power plant with a capacity of up to 5 MW at 36a Zaporizka Street in Boryspil.
Kyivoblenergo reported in the ProZorro system in early March that the value of the contract it intends to sign is UAH 7.28 million.
Spetselektromontazh 2007 LLC also took part in the auction.
At the end of 2017, the executive committee of Boryspil City Council provided Promin-Energo LLC with urban planning conditions and restrictions for the construction of a 5 MW solar plant on a land plot at 36a Zaporizka Street in Boryspil. At the end of 2018, Promin-Energo LLC obtained a license to produce electricity for the first stage of the solar plant at the specified address with a capacity of 996.36 kW from the National Commission for Energy, Housing and Utilities Services Regulation.

ESTONIA’S KARKAT TO EXPAND SPANISH WOMEN’SECRET AND SPRINGFIELD CHAIN IN UKRAINE TO 19 STORES

Estonia’s KarKat Fashion, the exclusive representative of Spain’s Tendam Global Fashion Retail in Ukraine, plans to open three new Women’secret and Springfield stores in 2019, two of which will be located in the River Mall shopping and entertainment center.
The press service of the retailer reported that the chain of the group of the Spanish brands in Ukraine would expand to 19 stores.
“The Springfield brand is actively developing and today it has seven stores located in the main shopping centers of Kyiv and Lviv. The store at the River Mall will be the eighth in Ukraine. Its space will be organized in such a way as to create more free space for customers to move. The store will be decorated in industrial style with the emphasis that Springfield is clothing for city life,” the company told Interfax-Ukraine.
According to the company, the area of the store in the River Mall shopping center will be 133 square meters.
In addition, KarKat Fashion plans to open a 93-square meter Women’secret shop in the mall.
“This store will be implemented in the bogetic concept (from the words boheme and poetique). In Ukraine, the stores of the network are represented in three cities – Kyiv, Lviv and Dnipro. Today the brand has nine stores. In the near future, two more stores will be opened, including in the River Mall shopping center,” KarKat Fashion said.
According to the company, both stores will be located on the first floor of the boutique gallery, next to the large department stores of the Spanish group Inditex. Their opening is scheduled on the day of the official launch of the River Mall shopping center, the construction of which is at the final stage.

SMART ENERGY REACHES 1 MCM DAILY PRODUCTION OF NATURAL GAS

Smart Energy group, following the results of drilling and overhaul projects, has reached the daily production of natural gas in the amount of one million cubic meters (mcm), the press service of the group has said.
Among the successful well overhaul projects, Smart Energy noted the decommissioning of well No. 1 in Ostroverkhivske gas condensate field (Kharkiv region), located in the license area of Ukrgazvydobuvannia.
As reported, in 2019 the group plans to invest about UAH 1 billion in the increase of natural gas production.
Earlier, in January 2019, the group announced that it had reached a historic daily maximum of 960,000 cubic meters of gas.
Smart Energy is a management company that is part of Vadim Novinsky’s Smart-Holding. It is engaged in the implementation of projects in the field of hydrocarbon production and alternative energy.

DEPUTY FOREST RESOURCES AGENCY HEAD PROPOSES TO CREATE FORESTRIES MINISTRY

Deputy Head of the State Forest Resources Agency of Ukraine Volodymyr Bondar has proposed that the Forestries and Wood Industry Ministry is created, the press service of the agency has reported.
“Having a separate ministry, we will be able to bring the forest industry to a high level,” Bondar said at the fourth congress of foresters of Ukraine.
He added that the State Forest Resources Agency does not have the right to initiate legislation to speed up the resolution of a number of issues, in particular, the separation of economic and control functions, the fight against illegal logging, the drying up of forests, and the creation of a timber market.
According to the deputy head of the agency, the creation of the ministry will make it possible to develop a national forest policy, conduct a forest inventory and properly finance all work in forestries.
As reported, enterprises of the State Forest Resources Agency of Ukraine in 2018 saw UAH 466.1 million in net profit, and their net revenue rose by 23%, to UAH 16.8 billion. Enterprises of the agency logged 16.5 million cubic meters of wood and produced goods made of wood for UAH 3.139 billion.
According to the national budget for 2019, UAH 614.7 million will be provided to the State Forest Resources Agency, including UAH 462 million for forestries and hunting, protection of forests in the forest fund.
The total space of forest areas of Ukraine is almost 10.4 million hectares. The forest cover of Ukraine is 15.9%. The State Forest Resources Agency manages 7.6 million hectares of forests (73% of the forest fund of Ukraine).
