UKRAINE EXPORTS 33.4 MLN TONNES OF GRAIN

Ukraine since the beginning of the 2018/2019 marketing year (MY, July-June) and as of March 6, 2019 had exported 33.399 million tonnes of grain and leguminous plants.
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, farmers exported 12.7 million tonnes of wheat, 3.3 million tonnes of barley, and 16.8 million tonnes of corn.
Some 179,100 tonnes of flour had been exported on that date.
As reported, with reference to the ministry, Ukraine exported 39.4 million tonnes of grain in the 2017/2018 MY.
According to the ministry, grain exports in the 2018/2019 MY are projected to be 49 million tonnes.

KHARKIV INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT INCREASES PASSENGER TRAFFIC BY 23%

Passenger traffic at Kharkiv International Airport in February 2019 was 65,900 people, which is 23% more than in the same period of 2018.
According to the press service of the airport, the growth of passenger traffic was observed both on domestic flights (6% more) and on international flights (30% more).
As reported, in January 2019 passenger traffic at Kharkiv airport was 71,800 people, which is 20% more than in the same period of 2018.
Kharkiv Airport has a runway with a length of 2,500 meters and a width of 50 meters. There are two passenger terminals with a capacity of 100 and 650 people per hour in its territory.

UKRHYDROENERGO SEES 2.5-FOLD RISE IN NET PROFIT

Private joint-stock company Ukrhydroenergo in 2018 saw a 2.5-fold rise in net profit compared with 2019, to UAH 3.668 billion, the company’s press service has reported.
Net revenue grew by 39.25, to UAH 7.961 billion.
As reported, in 2017, the company saw a 33.7% fall in net profit, to UAH 1.466 billion. Net revenue decreased 4.7%, to UAH 5.716 billion.
Ukrhydroenergo operates all the major hydroelectric power plants located in the Ukrainian parts of the Dnipro and Dniester rivers. The total installed electric capacity of the hydropower plants of the company (103 hydroelectric units) is 5,758 MW. The state represented by the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry fully owns the company’s shares.

ZAPORIZHIA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT SERVICES 60,800 PASSENGERS, WHICH IS 16.5% MORE THAN YEAR AGO

The Zaporizhia international airport in January and February 2019 serviced 60,800 passengers, which is 16.5% more than a year ago.
The number of passengers on international flights over the period grew by 20.5%, to 44,400 passengers, and on domestic flights it rose by 7%, to 16,380. The number of flights did not change year-over-year, being 448.
In February of this year, the total volume of passengers who used the services of the airport in Zaporizhia increased by more than 20%, from 24,800 passengers in February 2018, to 29,800 passengers.
An increase of almost 22.5% was recorded in international destinations (up to 21,400 passengers), and on domestic routes by 15% (up to 8,400 passengers).
As reported, the Zaporizhia Airport serviced 400,300 passengers in 2018, which is 15% more than in 2017.

UKRAINE SEES 3% RISE IN GAS PRODUCTION

Production of natural gas in Ukraine in January and February 2019 increased by 2.8% (by 94.5 million cubic meters) compared to the same period in 2018, to 3.46 billion cubic meters, according to current data from PJSC Ukrtransgaz.
According to calculations by Interfax-Ukraine, in particular gas production by JSC Ukrgazvydobuvannia amounted to 2.542 billion cubic meters (2.7% up from January-February 2018), PJSC Ukrnafta to 189.2 million cubic meters (9.6% up), by other companies to 728.9 million cubic meters (1.5% up).
In February 2019, gas production amounted to 1.644 billion cubic meters (3.3% up compared to February 2018), in particular extraction by Ukrgazvydobuvannia was 1.207 billion cubic meters (3% up), Ukrnafta some 90.4 million cubic meters (10.7% up), other companies some 346.8 million cubic meters (2.4% up).
Ukrtransgaz, fully owned by Naftogaz Ukrainy, operates a system of trunk gas pipelines and 12 underground gas storage facilities of the country with a total capacity of 31 billion cubic meters.
