Agrotrade’s agricultural holdings in Sumy and Chernihiv regions have begun harvesting corn from more than 13,000 hectares, with 5% of the area already threshed, according to its press service on Facebook.
The agricultural holding specified that the fields of Chernihiv region are currently showing the best yield — 114% of the planned indicators.
“At the moment, good yields are observed thanks to the correct selection of hybrids for the conditions of the year, timely feeding, and care for the crops. The high-quality work of modern equipment during sowing was also of great importance. For this, we used our new Fendt Momentum seeders with a liquid fertilizer application system,” said Gennady Maly, chief agronomist at Agrotrade, in a press release.
The structural divisions of the agricultural holding are harvesting during periods without precipitation. The campaign is planned to be completed by mid-November, according to the report.
The Agrotrade Group of Companies is a vertically integrated holding company with a full agro-industrial cycle (production, processing, storage, and trade in agricultural products). It cultivates more than 70,000 hectares of land. Its main crops are sunflower, corn, winter wheat, soybeans, and rapeseed. It has its own network of elevators with a one-time storage capacity of 570,000 tons.
The group also produces hybrid seeds of corn, sunflower, barley, and winter wheat. In 2014, a seed plant with a capacity of 20,000 tons of seeds per year was built on the basis of the Kolos seed farm (Kharkiv region).

Agrotrade, an agricultural holding company whose land bank is concentrated in the Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Poltava regions, has noted lower efficiency in frontline areas and would like to strengthen its business model through relocation.
“We want to grow. We want to strengthen our business model by relocating our land bank and forming land clusters in safer regions,” said Agrotrade CEO Serhiy Nechyporuk at the Agro Finance 2025 Conference, recently held by Oschadbank.
“We tell the banks: give us funds, we will relocate our land bank, create a successful cluster, for example, in Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, and we will be more resilient. And bankers tell us: well, let’s finance it with your own funds, and then we’ll think about how we can refinance you,” he described the discussion with banks.
According to Nechyporuk, bankers are ignoring the sound business logic of the agricultural holding, which has strong agronomic and agrotechnological expertise that it can scale up, but at the same time they are refusing to increase financing limits due to the need for greater loan reserves for a company operating in frontline regions.
Currently, according to him, some of the company’s land is located 10 km from the line of combat.
“It is difficult to be effective when there are constantly REBs working in the fields: we have now adopted a precision farming strategy (using drones) and, unfortunately, we cannot implement it on two clusters (out of the company’s five clusters),” Nechyporuk gave an example.
He added that the company also has “agronomic combat” bonuses for agronomists who go out to certain fields that are considered risky.
According to the CEO of Agrotrade, if we do not focus on supporting the frontline regions now, a “wild economic frontline field” will soon appear there.
Nechyporuk also noted a decline in the trend toward processing products due to a shortage of raw materials, which arose against the backdrop of a reduction in Ukraine’s agricultural land bank from 25 million hectares to 20 million hectares due to Russia’s full-scale aggression.
“There used to be a very strong trend towards processing agricultural products, but unfortunately, it has now declined. We probably invested a lot in it, but now there is not as much raw material because we are losing our land,” he said.

The Agrotrade agricultural holding has begun harvesting soybeans, sunflowers, and industrial hemp, according to a statement posted on its Facebook page.
“The campaign is underway simultaneously in several regions: soybeans in Kharkiv and Sumy regions, sunflowers in Kharkiv region, and industrial hemp in Chernihiv region. Currently, 9% of soybeans, 7% of sunflowers, and 54% of industrial hemp have been harvested,” the agricultural holding company said.
According to Alexander Ovsyannik, director of the agro-industrial department, industrial hemp has been harvested on almost half of the area, with yields within the norm.
“This is the third year of experimenting with this crop, and in the fall, we will decide whether to scale up this direction. As for soybeans and sunflowers, it is too early to draw conclusions: early soybeans were affected by drought, while late soybeans are still in good condition, and the situation with sunflowers depends on the region,” Ovsyannik said.
In the 2025 season, Agrotrade used 23 combine harvesters and about 60 trucks to quickly transport the harvest.
As reported, in 2025, Agrotrade allocated almost 13,000 hectares for soybeans, 11,000 hectares for sunflowers, and 333.5 hectares for industrial hemp.

Agroholding Agrotrade received UAH 120 million in financing from Raiffeisen Bank as part of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) risk-sharing program, the agroholding’s press service reported on Facebook.
It is noted that these funds will be used to cover seasonal needs: payment for agricultural services, purchase of fertilizers and plant protection products, as well as preparation for a new production cycle.
In addition, the company will attract an EBRD grant under the Human Capital Investment Incentive Program. It will be used to improve working conditions for employees and will be financed by the Kingdom of the Netherlands through the EBRD’s Special Crisis Response Fund.
“This result is the culmination of a year and a half of work with the EBRD. The negotiations were not easy, as our assets are located in the northeastern regions of Ukraine, which are considered high-risk. But we have proven that we are able to work effectively in any conditions, maintaining transparency, discipline, and responsibility to our partners,” said Antin Zhdanov, Deputy CEO for Economics and Finance at Agrotrade Group, whose words are quoted in the press release.
“Our cooperation with the EBRD under the risk-sharing program makes credit financing more accessible for agricultural companies, even in frontline regions. This has a positive impact on the recovery of the economy and the agricultural sector in particular,” said Larisa Bondareva, Deputy Chair of the Board of Raiffeisen Bank.
Analyzing the advantages of the project, the agricultural holding explained that Agrotrade gained financial flexibility and was able to purchase resources for production cycles on time, Raiffeisen Bank received guarantees for part of its loan portfolio, and the EBRD implemented its strategy of supporting business in regions affected by the war.

As part of its technology upgrade, the Agrotrade agricultural holding has purchased two modern Horsch Focus 6.35 TD seed drills, which are already working in the fields sowing winter rapeseed using the direct method, the agricultural holding’s press service reported on Facebook.
The agricultural holding noted that the purchase was made possible thanks to a partnership with OTP Leasing Ukraine. As part of the cooperation, Agrotrade received almost UAH 15 million in lease financing, of which about UAH 1.5 million is a grant under the Eligible Clean Energy Solutions program, which supports companies focused on the use of clean energy.
“The renewal of our technical fleet is part of a strategy to transform the technological core of our agribusiness. We are gradually moving towards more technological and efficient production, introducing new technological solutions while maintaining stability at our clusters, some of which are located in frontline areas. Such investments, together with the strengthening of the agricultural department’s management model, confirm our ability to systematically transform the company in difficult conditions and lay the foundation for future success together with our partners,” said Serhii Nechyporuk, CEO of Agrotrade.
The agricultural holding added that this is another step in the implementation of the company’s systematic change strategy. In the spring, Agrotrade purchased two Fendt 942 Vario tractors and two Fendt MOMENTUM 16 seeders with innovative Precision Planting solutions.

Agrotrade agricultural holding company has achieved a record winter wheat yield in the Chernihiv region of 8.4 tons/ha of net weight, or 150% of the planned target, according to the company’s press service on Facebook.
“High yields were also recorded in one of the fields in the Sumy region — 8.15 tons/ha, or 136% of the target. And this is only 20 km from the border with the enemy. This is further evidence of the resilience of our team and the effectiveness of agricultural technologies even in difficult conditions,” the statement said.
Agrotrade emphasized that these results are not accidental, but the result of systematic work. The agro-industrial department analyzed previous seasons, reviewed cultivation technology, and made specific adjustments from nutrition to protection, the release said.
“This year, we have improved our winter wheat cultivation technologies. We used fractional nitrogen application, double fungicide protection of the ear, and complete control of grass weeds across the entire area — this is not a very common but extremely effective practice. We removed all the weeds, leaving only the crop, and this yielded results. In addition, we update our variety portfolio every year, introducing varieties that perform consistently well in our conditions. This season, everything came together: technology, preparation, and weather conditions,” explained Oleksandr Ovsianyk, director of the agro-industrial department at Agrotrade, as quoted in the report.
In the 2025 season, Agrotrade is growing winter wheat on 14,500 hectares in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, and Kharkiv regions. Currently, more than 80% of the production area has been threshed. The winter harvest will soon be complete, the agricultural holding concluded.
