Czech Republic will open its consulate general in Dnipro – Petr Pavel

The Czech Republic intends to open its consulate general in Dnipro, Czech President Petr Pavel said.
“We seek to strengthen our presence and deepen cooperation in Ukraine. To this end, we will delegate two persons who will work in Dnipro. We will open a consulate general there,” he said Friday at a joint press conference with the presidents of Ukraine and Slovakia in Kiev.
In particular, the work of the consulate will be connected with facilitation of projects of mutual cooperation of the Czech Republic in energy, economy, transport and housing in the reconstruction of Dnipropetrovsk region.
The timing of the opening was not reported.

“Ukrzaliznytsia” will restart Lviv-Dnipro flight

“Ukrzaliznytsia” opens the sale on the flight №131/132 Lviv-Dnipro, which after a six-month break will provide rail service to northern Polesia and Volyn with Lviv, Kiev and Dnipro simultaneously.
As noted in a message on the telegram channel UZ on Friday, the train will depart from December 10 every other day on even-numbered days from Lviv at 18:08 through Chervonograd, Kovel, Sarny, Zhytomyr and other stations, arriving in the capital at 09:28. Arrival to Dnipro via Znamenka and Alexandria at 18:25.
Back every other day on even numbers from December 12 the trip will depart at 07:02, providing the residents of Dnipro with a comfortable morning connection to Kyiv. After the capital at 16:00 the train leaves for Zhytomyr and further, with arrival in Lviv at 06:55.

Kyivstar subscribers provided equipment for two hospitals in Dnipro and one in Lviv

Subscribers of Kyivstar mobile operator provided equipment to two hospitals in Dnipro and one in Lviv thanks to regular SMS donations as part of the Children’s Hope project, the company’s press service said Thursday.
“For almost four years of existence of “Children’s Hope” thanks to small SMS donations our subscribers managed to collect more than 12.5 million UAH, and 51 departments of Ukrainian hospitals have already received help. On behalf of Kyivstar I would like to thank all our subscribers who care and continue to systematically support this initiative during this full-scale war”, said Anna Zakharash, Corporate Communications Director of Kyivstar.
According to the report, the pediatric department of the Children’s Hospital № 6 in Dnipro purchased ECG recording device “AMEDTEC ECGpro CardioPart 12 Blue”-mr-wt with consumables and updated ECG Holter analysis software “ECGpro Holter”.
DOR Regional Family Health Center received Rescue LIFE 9 portable defibrillator with synchronization function and pediatric electrodes, which will allow resuscitation of children in case of deterioration of their condition during surgeries.
In addition, the Lviv Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital “Okhmatdet” received new equipment within the framework of the “Cardiology” project. The raised funds were used to buy sectoral 6S-RS and 3ScRS transducers for the existing ultrasound device.
This equipment will enable cardiac diagnostics of children’s diseases at a higher quality level.
As reported, since the beginning of full-scale war Kyivstar transferred almost 104 million UAH for humanitarian aid to the AFU, hospitals, the elderly and war victims. In particular, funds were transferred to the “Come back alive”, “Your support”, “Let`s help”, ICF “Caritas Ukraine” and ICF “Ukrainian Charity Exchange”.

PrivatBank and MasterCard launch contactless metro fare payment in Dnipro

The State PrivatBank (Kyiv) and the MasterCard international payment system have launched contactless fare payment at all metro stations in Dnipro, the bank’s press service reported on Thursday.
“In August 2022, as part of the program with MasterCard, the bank installed turnstiles with contactless payment technology with a bank card at four more stations of the Dniprovsky metro – Metrostroiteley, Prospekt Svobody, Metallurgov and Zavodskaya. Now you can pay for travel with a card or smartphone at all metro stations,” the statement said.
For two years of operation of such turnstiles at the stations “Vokzalnaya” and “Pokrovskaya” in the Dnieper, more than 420 thousand trips were paid contactlessly.
The press service noted that the Dnipro metro has become the second metro in Ukraine after the Kyiv one, where you can pay for travel with a card or an NFC device right at the turnstile.

ON APRIL 14 CINEMA NETWORK “PLANET KINO” RESUMES WORK IN KYIV AND DNIPRO

The Planeta Kino cinema chain reopens the cinema at the Appolo shopping center (Dnipro) on Thursday, April 14, in the capital next week, Natalia Baidan, CEO of the chain, told Interfax-Ukraine.
“We work in Lviv and Odessa, tomorrow we will open in the Dnieper. Next week we will open in Kyiv. Until the end of the month, possibly in Sumy. The situation is difficult and not yet predictable with Kharkov,” she said.
The CEO of the network specified that a cinema in the River Mall will first open in the capital.
At the same time, she noted that from the point of view of business, the results of March are unsatisfactory.
“We generate losses. In normal months, our sales were at the level of about UAH 80 million per month, now it is less than UAH 2 million. I am actively negotiating with copyright holders to provide us with new releases. There is a hope that they will appear in May. Then, I hope, the situation will be resolved,” Baidan said.
The Cinema Planet network, which belongs to Triumph Media Group LLC, has nine cinemas in Kyiv, Odessa, Lvov, Kharkiv, Sumy and Dnipro. It is also known about plans to open a new cinema in the Ocean Mall shopping center (Kyiv).
LLC “Triumph Media Group” was established in 2006, the main activity is the demonstration of films.
According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs, the owner of the enterprise is Moviemax Limited (100%, Cyprus), the ultimate beneficiaries are Dmitry Derkach and Andrey Shpig. The authorized capital is UAH 72.5 million.

NOVA POSHTA PROVIDES AUTOMATED TERMINAL FOR EUR 28.5 MLN

Nova Poshta has launched an automated sorting terminal in Dnipro, investments in which amounted to EUR 28.5 million, including a EUR 13 million loan from the EUR opean Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the company’s press service reported.
According to its data, the terminal in Dnipro is the second largest facility of the company after the Kyiv one: its capacity is 26,000 parcels per hour. At the same time, after the introduction of a new sorting line in April 2022, the figure will increase to 36,000 parcels per hour.
“The launch of a new automated terminal in Dnipro will allow us to double the processing of parcels in the region. In addition, it will also create 500 new jobs and new business opportunities that will be able to increase their sales,” CEO of Nova Poshta Oleksandr Bulba said.
The new terminal with an area of 18,000 square meters is equipped with the equipment of the Dutch company MHS Global and the Lithuanian one Equinox.
In addition, the cargo part of the terminal is equipped with robotic carts manufactured by SBR for the transportation of goods. Also, 29 conveyors were installed for loading parcels into freight transport, 14 for unloading.
The Nova Poshta group of companies includes, in particular, Nova Poshta, NP Logistic, NovaPay and Nova Poshta Global companies. The company’s network has about 10,000 branches throughout Ukraine, and the number of shipments in 2021 alone exceeded 430 million. In 2021, the company transferred UAH 6.4 billion in taxes and fees to the country’s budget.
