The report states that in a week the total area of farmland from which the crop was harvested increased by 2% – up to 72% of the previously planned area.
In terms of crops, the harvesting of wheat, barley, peas and rapeseed has been completed. Millet harvested from 95% (no change for the week), buckwheat – from 95% (+2 percentage points), sunflower – from 87% (+7 p.p.), soybeans – from 85% (+13 p.p. ), sugar beet – from 73% (+14 p.p.), corn – from 27% (+7 p.p.)
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, the final harvest of wheat this season amounted to 19.2 million tons from 4.7 million hectares, barley – 5.5 million tons from 1.6 million hectares, rapeseed – 3.1 million tons from 1.96 million hectares. , peas – 261 thousand tons from 111.5 thousand hectares.
In addition, by November 4, a total of 9 million tons of sunflower (+0.8 million tons per week) were harvested from 4.1 million hectares (+0.4 million hectares), 6.4 million tons of sugar beet (+1.2 million tons) from 105 thousand hectares (+26.4 thousand hectares), 6.3 million tons of corn (+1.8 million tons) from 1.1 million hectares (+268 thousand hectares), 3.1 million tons soybeans (+0.5 million tons) from 1.3 million hectares (+0.2 million hectares), 151 thousand tons of buckwheat (+2 thousand tons) from 111 thousand hectares (+2 thousand hectares), as well as 98 thousand tons of millet (+0.5 thousand tons) from 42.6 thousand hectares (+0.6 thousand hectares).
According to the ministry, the average yield for all crops in the current season was 40.7 centners per hectare, including corn – 55.4 centners per hectare, wheat – 41.2 centners per hectare, barley – 35.1 centners per hectare, rape – 28.9 c/ha, soybeans – 23.9 c/ha, peas – 23.4 c/ha, millet – 23.1 c/ha, sunflower – 22.0 c/ha, buckwheat – 13.6 centner/ha, sugar beet – 488 centner/ha.
As reported, in 2021 Ukraine harvested a record harvest of grains, legumes and oilseeds in the amount of 106 million tons: grains and legumes – UAH 84 million, oilseeds – 22.6 million tons.
In general, 32.4 million tons of wheat, 40 million tons of corn, 10 million tons of barley, 581.5 thousand tons of peas, 191 thousand tons of millet, 110 thousand tons of buckwheat were harvested last year. Sunflower harvest amounted to 16.3 million tons, soybeans – 3.4 million tons, rapeseed – 2.9 million tons.
Agroholding KSG Agro harvested sunflower from 5 thousand hectares, which is 60% of the planned 8.4 thousand hectares, the harvesting of this crop is scheduled to be completed by October 12.
According to a press release from the agrarian group, the average sunflower yield was 18 centners per hectare.
“Of course, the current sunflower yield is lower than last year, but our weather pattern is completely different, since spring precipitation was very uneven even within the same farm. c/ha up to 29 c/ha, but on average 18 c/ha,” the holding company quotes the head of its crop production division, Dmitry Emelchenko.
According to him, the completion of the sunflower harvesting campaign depends on weather conditions and is scheduled, tentatively, for October 12.
KSG Agro also sows winter wheat on a total area of 4.2 thousand hectares and cares for winter rape crops on an area of 2.15 thousand hectares.

By August 19, Ukrainian farmers harvested 23.4 million tons of grain and leguminous crops (+2.6 million tons for the week of August 12-19) from a total area of 6.1 million hectares (+0.6 million hectares), reported on the website of the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food on Friday.
It is specified that the crop was harvested from 55% of the planned areas, while a week earlier this figure was 49%.
“The harvest of 2022 continues. According to the latest data, 91% of wheat, 96% of barley, 97% of peas, and 98% of winter rapeseed have been harvested. The leaders in harvesting are Mykolaiv region – 86%, Odessa region – 85%, Volyn and Dnepropetrovsk regions – 70% each, Kirovogradskaya – 60%,” the ministry said in a statement.
In general, 17.4 million tons of wheat (+2.0 million tons per week) were harvested from 4.3 million hectares (+0.5 million hectares), 5.3 million tons of barley (+0.4 million tons) from 1 .5 million hectares (+0.1 million hectares) and 243.7 thousand tons of peas (+4.7 thousand tons) from 108 thousand hectares (+2 thousand hectares). According to the ministry, the average yield of wheat was 40.4 q/ha, barley – 34.5 q/ha, rapeseed – 28.4 q/ha, millet – 23.9 q/ha, peas – 22.6 q/ha. At the same time, the highest average yield of grain and leguminous crops was recorded in the Khmelnytsky region – 62 c/ha.
In turn, the agricultural producers of the Dnepropetrovsk, Kirovohrad and Odessa regions harvested over 2 million tons of grain, and Vinnitsa, Volyn, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky and Cherkasy regions – more than 1 million tons of crops each.

Since the beginning of the harvesting campaign as of August 13, Ukrainian farmers have harvested 39.5 million tonnes (a rise of 7.3 million tonnes per week from August 6 to August 13) of grain, legumes and oilseeds from an area of 9 million hectares (56% of the forecast).
According to the information and analytical portal of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine, in the context of crops, the following crops were threshed: 28.7 million tonnes of wheat from an area of 6.2 million hectares (88% of the total area under this crop), 9.42 million tonnes of barley from 2.3 million hectares (92%), 2.6 million tonnes of rapeseed from 0.95 million hectares (94%), 0.54 million tonnes of peas from 0.23 million hectares (96%).
According to the portal, the yield of harvested wheat was 460 tonnes per ha, barley – 416 tonnes per ha, rapeseed – 275 tonnes per ha, and peas – 233 tonnes per ha.
The portal said that the leaders in harvesting since the beginning of the harvesting campaign were Kherson (the harvest was harvested from 91% of the area), Zaporizhia (90%), Donetsk and Mykolaiv (86% each), Luhansk (84%) regions. At the same time, wheat harvesting was completed by farmers of four regions, barley – by six regions. The collection of peas was completed in 18 regions of the country, rapeseed – in nine.
Agricultural producers of Khmelnytsky region were the leaders in average grain yield, harvesting respectively from 29% of the area with a yield of 614.5 tonnes per ha.
