FROM AUGUST 14 UKRAINE STARTS ISSUING E-VISAS FOR CITIZENS OF INDIA, SOUTH AFRICA, PHILIPPINES

From August 14 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine begins the centralized registration of Ukrainian electronic visas (e-Visa) for citizens of India, South Africa and the Philippines, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
“The Ukrainian e-Visa is issued for trips to our country for business, private, tourist purposes, for medical treatment, for activities in the field of culture, science, education, sports, as well as for representatives of foreign media,” the statement said.
So, to apply for an electronic visa, you need:
– register on the MFA web platform https://evisa.mfa.gov.ua/ (available from August 14);
– fill in the application form online, upload a photo and scanned copies of documents (passport, invitation, etc.), pay the consular fee with a bank card;
– receive a ready e-Visa by e-mail (sent in pdf format).
It is reported that to enter Ukraine, a person needs to print the e-Visa and show it with the passport to the border authorities of Ukraine at the checkpoints across the state border.
“At the same time, the standard procedure for issuing Ukrainian visas in foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine still remains in force for citizens of these states,” the ministry reported

PRESIDENT OF UKRAINE: VISA LIBERALIZATION FOR TOURISTS FROM CHINA, INDIA SHOULD BE CARRIED OUT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that visa liberalization for tourists from China and India should be carried out as soon as possible.
According to the presidential press service, the head of the state said this at a meeting with the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine members on Monday, July 13, at which Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that the government is actively working on the issue of liberalizing the visa regime for tourists from these countries.

INDIA DONATES TO UKRAINE BATCH OF ANTIVIRAL DRUGS TO TREAT COVID-19

India has donated 50,000 capsules of the OMVIR antiviral drug, which is used to treat patients with COVID-19, as humanitarian aid to Ukraine, the Ministry of Health reports.
According to the report, these medications will be enough to treat about 5,000 patients.
“Ukraine is very grateful for the humanitarian aid of 50,000 capsules of the OMVIR preparation. This drug is included in the domestic treatment protocol and our hospitals, identified as supporting in the fight against COVID-19, are very interested in receiving it. This lot is enough to treat about 5,000 patients,” Ihor Ivaschenko, the Deputy Minister of Health for European Integration, said.
Ambassador of India to Ukraine Partha Satpathy noted that, if necessary, there may be additional deliveries of this drug.

UKRAINIAN ENERGOMASHSPETSSTAL DELIVERS 25 ROLLS TO INDIA

PJSC Energomashspetsstal (EMSS, Kramatorsk, Donetsk region), the owner of which is Russia’s Atomenergomash, has signed a new agreement with Steel Authority of India (SAIL) for delivery of 1,190 tonnes of rolled products. The press service of EMSS has reported that the agreement was signed following tender in July 2019. The value of the contract is not disclosed.
The rolls will be produced for a new hot-rolling mill 2250 of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP).
According to the contract, the products should be sent to the customer by the second quarter of 2021.
The company’s press service said a successful fulfillment of this order would favor further cooperation with SAIL into other projects.
For a moment, SAIL’s RSP is also waiting for another delivery under the previous order from EMSS that is to be sent to the customer by the beginning of 2020.
Energomashspetsstal is the largest Ukrainian producer of special cast and forged products for individual and small-scale production for metallurgy, shipbuilding, energy (wind, steam, hydro, nuclear) and general engineering.
SAIL is top five biggest companies of India.

UKRAINE STRATEGIC PARTNER OF INDIA IN MILITARY-TECHNICAL COOPERATION – INDIAN AMBASSADOR

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Danyliuk held a meeting with Indian Ambassador Partha Satpathy on Wednesday, during which the parties discussed the state of cooperation in the field of security and defense and prospects for its further intensification. “Satpathy stressed the importance of Ukraine as a strategic partner of India in the field of military-technical cooperation, in particular, the production and supply by Ukraine of gas turbine engines for ships and joint projects in the field of aviation,” the press service of the NSDC reports.
Also, the Ambassador of India assured of the unchanged support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
According to Danyliuk, to enhance cooperation at the strategic level, the current exchange of information between Ukraine and India on security issues is relevant today.

UKRAINE CAN JOIN INDIA, ISRAEL, THAILAND AND BECOME ONE OF MAJOR PLATFORMS FOR CLINICAL DRUG TRIALS

Ukraine can join India, Israel, and Thailand and become another major platform for the rapidly growing industry of clinical trials of new drugs, James Peyer, managing partner of the U.S. biotechnology company Apollo Ventures, has said. “Clinical trials can be carried out (in Ukraine) with the same level of professionalism, with the same level of effectiveness as in the United States and Europe but without their high costs,” he said at the Ukraine House Davos health panel.
As reported earlier, bill No. 4074 on ensuring public access to the results of preclinical study and clinical trials of medicines was passed into law by the Ukrainian parliament in September 2018.
At present, about 200 clinical drug trials are underway in Ukraine. At the same time, in the past two years, the trend toward a decrease in the number of clinical trials has subsided.
