The Nova Poshta group of companies plans to launch Kharkiv Sorting Center in September 2020, Volodymyr Popereshniuk, the co-owner of the company, has said.
“Construction is being carried out at the planned pace. Now 200 people are working on the site, construction work should be completed by May. Then we will begin the installation of equipment. The launch is in September 2020,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
Popereshniuk noted that the center will consist of two buildings. The first of them is designed for sorting, its capacity will be 20,000 shipments per hour, the second will be a cargo terminal with a planned capacity of 100 tonnes per hour. Cargo will be moved inside the facilities with the help of assistant robots.
As reported, in September 2019 Nova Poshta opened a two-hall innovative sorting terminal in Lviv.

According to him, also last year the company delivered 500,000 air parcels (testing of this service was launched in August 2019).
Khmelnytsky Innovation Terminal (opened in May 2019) processed 27.6 million shipments, Lviv terminal, which opened in the fall of 2019, processed 14.2 million parcels. Kyiv Innovation Terminal handled 97.8 million shipments.
In addition, in 2019, Nova Poshta delivered 3.4 million international shipments, which is 26% more than in 2018, of which 2.3 million from China (an increase of 30%).
In 2019, Nova Poshta International increased the number of deliveries from the United States by 20%, doubled from the UK and tripled from Poland.
Most often, according to the company, Ukrainians order clothes and shoes, accessories for mobile phones and small electronics.
The Nova Poshta Group from October 10, 2019 launched the air delivery service for nine settlements of western Ukraine and 16 settlements in the East of the country, the company has reported.
Surcharge for the service at standard rates is UAH 30 per kilogram.
The new service allows you to provide daily delivery between cities in the west and east of Ukraine. “For example, if you send a parcel before 15:00 in a Mukachevo branch, it will be delivered to the Mariupol branch by 18:00 the next day. It will be the same, if one sends it on the Zaporizhia-Sambir route. Flights on the Lviv-Dnipro-Lviv route are operated from Monday through Friday weekly,” the group said in the report.
The customer receives guaranteed delivery the next day. If the company does not have time to deliver on time, the client will receive compensation for the full cost of delivery.
One can order the air delivery service for parcels up to 30 kg in the branches, while the delivery will be only on weekdays.
Currently, one can order the air delivery service in the offices of nine settlements of western Ukraine (Lviv, Mukachevo, Uzhgorod, Drohobych, Mostyska, Novoyavorovsk, Sambir, Stryi and Chervonohrad) and 16 cities of the east and south of the country (Dnipro, Zaporizhia, Kamianske, Kremenchuk, Kryvy Rih, Kropyvnytsky, Mariupol, Mykolaiv, Novomoskovsk, Pavlohrad, Poltava, Severodonetsk, Sloviansk, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Kherson).
Nova Poshta plans to expand the geography of air delivery.

“Boxes of Nova Posta are travelling between cities with million-plus cities by plane. Not all so far because we are still testing the air delivery service,” Nova Poshta reported on its official page in Facebook.
The testing flight Kyiv-Lviv started in the second part of August 28.
“Today we sent the first test flight Kyiv-Lviv-Kyiv! This means that we will soon offer customers delivery on the same day from Kyiv to Lviv, and then to Kharkiv, Dnipro and Odesa. And also we will connect the cities of western, eastern and southern Ukraine with guaranteed delivery on the next day,” Nova Poshta co-owner Volodymyr Popereshniuk wrote on Facebook.

Nova Poshta Moldova through January-June 2019 doubled a number of deliveries compared to the same period in 2018, Nova Poshta Georgia saw 32% rise in the similar indicator, Nova Poshta Group of Companies reported on its website.
According to the group, its offices in Moldova and Georgia managed to increase a number of processed deliveries and to shorten the terms of delivery thanks to launch of deliveries in any part of the country, delivery speed-up and attraction of the new large business clients.

She said Georgia’s complex landscape and geography are such that not all the logistics companies operating in this country are ready to deliver parcels and cargo to remote mountain settlements. Meanwhile, Nova Poshta Georgia managed to ensure delivery to each client, which became an important competitive advantage and allowed the company to enter the top three market leaders and improve the quality of work with business clients.
The group stressed that the companies in both states continue to expand the list of the services both for domestic deliveries, as well as for international destinations, will introduce digital-tools, which have already proved to be effective in Ukraine.

According to the report, since the beginning of the year, more than 8 million customers used the services of the group, about 100 million parcels were delivered, whereas in the first half of 2018 Nova Poshta reported on 78 million shipments. Taking into account these figures, the growth was 28.2% compared with 21% in the first half of 2018.
According to the report, Ukrainians more actively order goods abroad: the number of parcels from the United States ordered using the NP Shopping service increased by 20%, from the UK by 86%, and tripled from Poland.
The report also notes that in the first half of 2019, the innovative terminal in Kyiv handled almost 46 million parcels, which is 34% more than in the same period last year. Khmelnytsky Innovative Terminal, launched on May 17, 2019, processed 6.8 million shipments, the release said.
