Average vacancy of business centers in Rivne by August 2019 was 3.1%, and by late 2020 it is planned to expand total office space supply by 8,000 square meters, UTG consulting company (Kyiv) has told Interfax-Ukraine.
“The main increase in office space in Rivne was seen in 2000-2004, when 45.1% of the total market supply was built/reconstructed and put into operation (GLA is 41,000 square meters). During 2016-2018, not a single new business center was opened, and in 2019 the total office supply was replenished with the Smart BAU office building located at 41/1, Vidinska Street,(GLA 1,100 square meters) and TOTs located at 11, Zamkova Street ( GLA 370 square meters),” UTG Senior Analyst Oksana Gavrilevich said.
According to her, the active construction of a business center is carried out by the Renome company on Lionokombinatska Street with the first Sport Life club in Rivne (GLA more than 5,000 square meters).
In addition, there are seven office buildings at different stages of construction and installation works; in 2020, offices with a total lettable area of more than 8,000 square meters were declared to open.
“Despite the large volume of the current office supply (per 1,000 inhabitants, it is comparable with the largest regional centers of Ukraine: Odesa, Lviv, Dnipro), the total area of high-quality and professional facilities in the city is no more than 11,000 square meters. About 79% (71,300 square meters of the city’s office premises were commissioned before 2008 and are already morally and technically outdated,” Gavrilevich said.
The Rivne nuclear power plant on July 18 reduced the output of its power unit No.1 (VVER-440) to 50%, having disconnected the TG-2 turbo generator at 05:26 a.m. Kyiv time on Thursday, July 18, after the leakiness of the condensate electric pump line of a turbine unit had been revealed, National Nuclear Energy Generating Company Energoatom’s press service said.
The causes of the incident are being checked. The TG-2 turbo generator is to be put into operation before 02:00 p.m. on the same day.
Energoatom said the incident is rated as “zero,” according to the INES nuclear event assessment scale, or “out-of-scale.”
Thus, as of Thursday morning, 10 of the 15 power units of four operating Ukrainian nuclear power plants were in operation.
The State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) has started designing the reconstruction of highway M-06 on the Lviv-Rivne section, taking into account the expansion from two to four lanes, as well as the construction of detours of settlements, the agency has said. “After the completion of renovation, the saving of travel time from Lviv to Rivne without breaking traffic rules will almost halve to 1.5 hours,” Ukravtodor said.
The agency noted that a significant part of exported cargo is transported to the European Union member countries by this road, and therefore its reconstruction, in the opinion of Ukravtodor, will be an impetus for the economic development of the region, will help facilitate investment and create new jobs.
In addition, the new quality of the road will improve the level of road safety and the environmental situation in cities.
LLC ATB-Invest (Dnipro), part of the ATB group of companies, plans to acquire a retail and office center in Rivne, owned by the Novus retailer, which is part of the Lithuanian group BT Invest. As the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) said it plans on February 7 to consider the case of granting permission to ATB-Invest LLC to acquire assets, namely a Rivne-based retail and office center, owned by Novus-Ukraine LLC (Kyiv).
According to the Novus website, its chain as of February 7, 2019, includes two stores in Rivne: at 26 Gagarin Street and at 24 Bohoyavlenska Street.
Novus Ukraine LLC was established in 2008, the same year the first Novus supermarket was opened in the country.
According to the State Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs as of February 7, 2019, Novus Ukraine LLC is wholly owned by CJSC Consul Trade House (Vilnius, Lithuania). The final beneficiaries are Marina Pozniakova, Agnė Ruzgienė, Raimondas Tumėnas.
The charter capital of Novus Ukraine LLC is UAH 634.7 million.
The Novus supermarket chain is developed by BT Invest (Lithuania), which was established in 2008 by former shareholders of Sandora Raimondas Tumėnas and the late Ihor Bezzub.
The ATB chain in 2018 expanded by 80 new and 41 renovated retail outlets, numbering 990 stores in 22 Ukrainian regions.
It posted record high sales in its 25-year history, which amounted to UAH 103.6 billion, including VAT.
Kyiv, Kharkiv and Rivne regions are leaders in the rating of Ukrainian regions, according to the social and economic development monitoring for 2017 drawn up by the Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Economy Ministry of Ukraine.
According to the study, Kyiv city (Mayor Vitali Klitschko) and Kharkiv region (Head of Regional Administration Yulia Svitlychna) retain their positions for the second year in a row.
Kyiv city was first in most figures. In Kharkiv region, the smallest unemployment rate in Ukraine – 6.1%, and the highest share of power generated from alternative sources, as well as the level of the introduction of energy saving technologies – 30.4% and 72% respectively.
Rivne region is third (Head of Regional Administration Oleksiy Muliarenko). The region climbed by three positions compared with 2016. Dnipropetrovsk region is fourth (Valentyn Reznichenko). The region climbed six positions up.
Chernivtsi region is fifth (Oleksandr Fyschuk).
Outsiders of the rating are Luhansk, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv and Odesa regions.
The study is conducted under government resolution No. 856 dated October 21, 2015 on the approval of the rules of conducting monitoring and assessing results.
