TAS Agro Agro has completed sowing winter crops for the 2025 harvest on 38 thou hectares, the company’s press service reported on Facebook.
According to the report, 15 thou hectares were allocated for winter rapeseed and about 23 thou hectares for winter wheat.
The agroholding noted that despite abnormally dry conditions in August and the first half of September, the company’s specialists managed to get high-quality winter rapeseed seedlings in all clusters. Winter wheat was sown in a short time.
“Wheat in the crop rotation in 2024 occupies a quarter of the agricultural holding’s area and required concentrated efforts and coordinated work of all departments to ensure timely sowing and root system formation before the onset of cold weather. As of today, the company has received winter crops that are in good and satisfactory condition,” said Oleg Zapletnyuk, CEO of TAS Agro.
The agroholding continues to thresh corn, prepares the soil for the next season and completes the sugar beet harvest. The average corn yield is 8 tons per hectare, which is significantly higher than the national average.
TAS Group was founded in 1998. Its business interests include the financial sector (banking and insurance) and pharmacy, as well as industry, real estate, and venture capital projects.
Before the war, TAS Agro Group cultivated 83,000 hectares in Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Chernihiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kherson and Dnipro regions, where it grows soybeans, sunflower, rapeseed, wheat, barley and corn. In addition, the agricultural holding is engaged in dairy farming (up to 5.5 thousand heads of cattle) and owns six elevators with a one-time storage capacity of 250 thousand tons.

TAS Agro Agro Agro Holding has completed the harvesting of oilseeds in the 2024 season from 34.1 thousand hectares, the yield exceeded the targets for 2024 and was higher than the average for Ukraine, the press service of the agricultural holding reported on its Facebook page.
According to the report, at the end of September, TAS Agro completed sunflower harvesting, harvesting more than 43.6 thousand tons from an area of 17.7 thousand hectares, and soybeans from an area of 16.4 thousand hectares weighing 37.2 thousand tons.
“This year, late summer and early fall were abnormally dry, which had a negative impact on the yield of oilseeds throughout Ukraine. Today, there is a shortage of sunflower seeds on the market, which affects price growth and the overall situation on the agricultural market. In general, we carried out our autumn field work in an extremely narrow time corridor, but we did a great job,” said Oleg Zapletnyuk, CEO of TAS Agro.
Currently, the agricultural holding continues to harvest corn and is completing the sowing of winter wheat on an area of 22.7 hectares.
In addition, in 2024, TAS Agro almost doubled its winter rapeseed sowing, from 8 to 15 thousand hectares. Winter rapeseed has already sprouted and autumn chemical protection measures are underway. The agroholding expects favorable weather and good germination of winter wheat.
Taking into account the experience of 2024, the company will continue to implement the updated strategy, providing the clusters with the necessary amount of new agricultural machinery,” TAS Agro summarized.

TAS Agro intends to allocate 22 thou hectares for winter wheat, the company’s press service reported on its Facebook page.
“Thanks to the updated modern agricultural machinery, it is possible to ensure an efficient sowing process, combining it with the simultaneous application of granular fertilizers,” the agricultural holding said.
TAS Agro noted that in 2024 it completely abandoned traditional plowing and started using Mini-till technology. This allows to preserve the soil structure, reduce erosion and increase its fertility, which will eventually have a positive impact on yields, the agricultural holding explained.
At the same time, TAS-Agro continues harvesting soybeans on 16 thousand hectares.
“Harvesting started in the best possible time. Teams of specialists are using modern methods and equipment to ensure high harvesting efficiency and minimize losses,” the agricultural holding added.

TAS Agro has completed harvesting winter crops and threshed about 24 thousand hectares of wheat and rapeseed, with a winter wheat yield of 6.3 t/ha, a record high for the agricultural holding’s history, the company’s press service reports on Facebook.
“The harvest of early grain crops was completed quite successfully, despite the difficulties and additional risk factors that accompanied farmers this year. Early spring, abnormal heat in June and July, and power cuts had virtually no impact on our businesses due to the introduction of advanced technologies, upgraded equipment and employee responsibility. We managed to implement an effective strategy for the entire range of agrotechnical operations, harvested the grain in the best possible time and also produced a record winter wheat crop. The Northern cluster became the leader in the company in terms of yield of this crop with 7 tons per hectare,” said Oleg Zapletnyuk, CEO of TAS Agro.
The agroholding specified that in 2024, the company will use its own equipment, which was updated during the year, to the maximum extent possible. Only combine harvesters were rented due to economic feasibility. Along with the harvesting campaign, we worked on organizing logistics and marketing of the harvested crop. Currently, the grain is accepted at pre-prepared elevator facilities.

TAS Agro Group has made the first shipment of 1,500 tons of rapeseed oil to consumers in China, the agricultural holding’s press service reported on Facebook.
It is specified that TAS Agro has been processing rapeseed, sunflower and soybeans on a tolling basis at its partners’ plants for the second year in a row. As explained in the agricultural holding, in conditions of low profitability, increasing the added value of products through the development of processing is perhaps the only way to achieve a positive result.
“The realities of wartime force farmers to change, be flexible, and look for new strategic solutions. TAS Agro made the right decision to start processing rapeseed, as it is more profitable to sell oil than raw materials. Last season was the first experience of processing for our agricultural holding, and the financial results are positive,” said Anton Zhemerdeev, Deputy CEO for Commercial Affairs.
According to him, the agroholding has added new specialists to its team and is now focused on extending logistics to end consumers and opening new markets to generate additional margins.
