The Nova Poshta group of companies paid UAH 5 billion in taxes and fees to state and local budgets in 2020, which is 20% more than in 2019, the company’s press service said on Friday.
According to the press service, over the past year Nova Poshta rose from 27th to 19th place in the rating of the largest taxpayers in Ukraine.

“We do not stay away from life in Ukraine and actively help those who are in need: hospitals and universities, volunteers and socially vulnerable groups of the population. We care of what country we live and work in,” Chief Financial Officer of the group Petro Fokov said.
The Nova Poshta group of companies includes, in particular, the companies Nova Poshta, NP Logistic, NovaPay and Nova Poshta Global.

Nova Poshta is introducing a new concept of branches, which will provide a full range of services for business clients and will actually replace the operator’s existing cargo branches.
According to the press service of the company, there are plans to open 40 such business branches in 2021 in the cities with the population of over one million people, regional centers and some large district centers.
“Nova Poshta has a lot of business clients – these are e-commerce market players, big business and small entrepreneurs working in various fields. Over the years of working with business, we have already thoroughly studied their needs: they make many shipments, delivering goods of various sizes – from small jewelry to large-sized equipment. They value their time and want to receive high-quality comprehensive services quickly and conveniently. We took all this experience into account when developing the concept of our new branches,” Nova Poshta CEO Oleksandr Bulba said.
The company notes that it is looking for co-investors to build new branches from scratch that will be focused on the needs of business clients. The partnership model is as follows: the investor builds branches at his own expense, and Nova Poshta undertakes to take it on a long-term lease.
“The new business branches will be placed in locations with a high concentration of businesses and developed infrastructure: the presence of access roads, parking for customers, etc. The branch premises will be divided into a front office and a back office. The first will be divided into two zones for processing items: up to 30 kg and over 30 kg. In turn, the back office will have an area for processing parcels and cargo, a packing department and a comfort zone for workers,” the report says.
Nova Poshta has launched a new service center on the demarcation line in Novotroitske (Donetsk region) and opened its own branch there.
The company said this is one of nine facilities at the checkpoints of entry and exit, the construction of which is being implemented by the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories in cooperation with Ukrainian business – the facility in Novotroitske was built entirely at the expense of Nova Poshta, which invested UAH 12 million in it.
The checkpoint has an administrative services center, an employment center, Oschadbank, a pharmacy, a medical center, a National Police station, a cafe and a mother and child room. The territory will have Wi-Fi and recreation areas.
In addition, the service center has a branch of Nova Poshta, where customers will be able to send and receive parcels weighing up to 30 kg, and financial services will also be provided: payment of utility bills, cash withdrawals from a card, money transfers, etc.
“Nova Poshta deliberately joined an important initiative of the Ministry of Reintegration and invested in the development of the country’s service infrastructure. For us, as a socially responsible business, it is important to support Ukrainians and provide them with the opportunity to receive a full range of services and goods from Ukrainian and international stores that they need,” CEO of Nova Poshta Oleksandr Bulba said.
Nova Poshta Global, part of the Nova Poshta group of companies, has created an additional hub for international shipments in Lviv: it launched charter flights to Lviv airport and opened the second central sorting station.
According to Nova Poshta, the first charter flight from the United States flew to Lviv in early December. On board were more than 15,000 items of the NP Shopping service with a total weight of over 30 tonnes. Nova Posta Global plans to operate flights from the United States regularly, twice a week: one flight to Lviv and one to Kyiv.
In addition, the company plans to carry out charter flights from China both to Lviv and Kyiv. In particular, on December 6, a flight with departures from the Chinese online store AliExpress, on board of which there were 60,000 parcels with a total weight of 20 tonnes, already arrived at Boryspil International Airport.
“Soon we expect the arrival of two more flights, which will deliver about 20 more tonnes of cargo,” the company said.
Previously, the company’s flights with international departures arrived only at Boryspil airport, and went through customs clearance and sorting at the central station in Kyiv.
Since the beginning of this year, Nova Poshta Global has more than doubled its volumes, delivering 5.7 million shipments: an increase that has put additional strain on the sorting station.
Nova Poshta, the leader of express delivery in Ukraine, has launched the Kharkiv Innovation Terminal in a test mode.
The company said this terminal became the fourth innovative terminal of the company in Ukraine and the second largest after the Kyiv Innovation Terminal.
The construction of an object with an area of more than 19,000 sq m lasted 1.5 years. Like other innovative terminals of Nova Poshta, the Kharkiv terminal is equipped with automated equipment from the Dutch company Vanderlande, capable of handling 8,500 parcels per hour. The terminal is also equipped with 31 special telescopic conveyors, with the help of which items are unloaded and loaded directly into the vehicle. The total capacity of the terminal is up to 20,000 parcels per hour.
“Investments in infrastructure is a necessity for the company to effectively sort parcels, the volumes of which are growing significantly from year to year, and this year the figure has already grown by 30%. The opening of the Kharkiv terminal will help us distribute logistics flows in the east and maintain the speed of delivery,” CEO of Nova Poshta Oleksandr Bulba said.
The Kharkiv terminal will sort shipments for Kharkiv, as well as Kharkiv, Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
At present, the terminal is operating in a test mode, all processes of Nova Poshta’s terminal logistics are synchronized: the logistics directions and information structure are changing, and the flow of shipments is being distributed.
Nova Poshta plans to launch it on a regular basis next week.
