Exports of grain from Ukraine since the beginning of the 2017/2018 marketing year (MY, July-June) and as of May 23 amounted to 35.999 million tonnes, which is 3.68 million tonnes less than on the same date a year earlier, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food has said.
According to the report, in particular, wheat exports amounted to 15.95 million tonnes (501,000 tonnes less from the previous MY, exports of maize to 15.66 million tonnes (2.18 million tonnes less), barley to 4.19 million tonnes (962,000 tonnes less), and rye to 35,000 tonnes (29,600 tonnes more).
Export of flour amounted to 393,500 tonnes (64,300 tonnes more).
As reported with reference to the ministry, Ukraine in the 2016/2017 MY exported 43.9 million tonnes of grain.
According to the ministry’s forecasts, grain exports from Ukraine in the 2017/2018 MY will amount to 41 million tonnes.
The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMC) has allowed Dragon Capital Investments Limited (Cyprus) to acquire Korma Development LLC (Kyiv), owned by Europolis GmbH, which is part of the large real estate group CA Immo Group (Vienna, Austria).
According to the AMC, the agency permitted Dragon Capital Investments Limited to acquire a stake in the charter capital of Korma Development, which provides the buyer with over 50% of the voting shares on the company’s board.
According to the unified state register, Korma Development is the owner of a 100% stake in the charter capital of Europolis Property Holding LLC (Kyiv).
Europolis Property Holding owns several land plots in the village of Kolonschyna in Kyiv region near highway E-40 (M-06), which are designed for construction and operation of storage facilities.
The total area of the plots is about 50 hectares.
According to CA Immo Group, in 2017 it sold a site with an undeveloped project in Ukraine. As of 2015, the company estimated the value of the Ukrainian asset at EUR3.4 million.
Dragon Capital Investments Limited is part of Dragon Capital Group, founded in 2000, which is one of the largest in the Ukrainian investment market. It works in the field of direct investment and financial services, provides a full range of investment banking and brokerage services to corporate and private clients.
DTEK’s mines in April 2018 increased gas coal production by 5% compared to April 2017, to 2 million tonnes, the company’s press service has reported.
“The growth in production at DTEK Pavlohradvuhillia in April this year was 3% compared to April 2017, to 1.7 million tonnes, at DTEK Dobropilliavuhillia it stood at 19%, to 334,000 tonnes,” the report said.
According to the press service, in April the company invested UAH 387 million in the development of production at the mines of DTEK Pavlohradvuhillia and DTEK Dobropilliavuhillia. Of these, UAH 167 million was invested in the purchase and overhaul of purification equipment, UAH 94 million in capital mining and UAH 29 million in tunnel equipment.
Since the beginning of the year, 12 longworks have been commissioned at DTEK’s coal enterprises.
Boryspil International Airport expects to receive an additional UAH 15-20 million of revenue from aviation activities due to servicing additional flights on the day of the UEFA Champions League final in Kyiv on May 26, the airport deputy director for commercial activities and strategic development, Heorhiy Zubko, has said at a press conference.
“The assets Boryspil airport intends to receive within the framework of this event are those that are directly related to aviation activity. We expect to receive at least UAH 15-20 million from that number of passengers who will come to us,” he predicts.
Zubko noted that in addition to income from aviation activities, the airport also expects to receive additional income from passenger service enterprises: cafes, duty free shops, etc., located in the airport’s territory.
As reported, Boryspil airport is expected to accept 77 flights with fans in Terminals B and D on the day of the UEFA Champions League final.
At the same time, Kyiv expects 100,000 guests for the UEFA Champions League final, but most fans will leave after the Champions League finals are finished and they will not need accommodation in the hotels of the capital.
PJSC Ukrgazvydobutok (part of Smart Energy Group) has commissioned a new appraisal and production well on Ostroverkhovske gas condensate field in Kharkiv region, the press service of the group has said.
According to its data, the depth of the well is 4,620 meters, drilling was successfully completed in April 2018.
“Due to the successful implementation of technical solutions we managed to obtain a commercial flow of gas from the Visean deposits at the level of 90,000 cubic meters per day. This figure is 30% higher than the expected output,” Technical Director of Smart Energy Viktor Dudzych said.
The press service noted that the drilling of well No. 10 of Vasyschevske deposit (Kharkiv region) is also underway.
