AVIS Ukraine (VIP-Rent FDI) has renewed nearly 17% of its fleet over the past nine months, adding 60 new vehicles for rental and operational leasing. This marks the company’s largest fleet renewal in the past several years.
More than half of the new additions are SUVs. The fleet now includes, in particular, the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, Volkswagen Touareg R-Line, Audi A6, and Hyundai Staria minivans. The new vehicles are already available to the company’s customers in Ukraine.
Toyota and Volkswagen accounted for the largest share of the fleet update, together making up over 55% of the new additions. Toyota’s share was 30.5%, while Volkswagen’s was about 25%. New Skoda and Hyundai vehicles were also added to the fleet.
Among individual models, the Toyota Hilux and Volkswagen Tiguan saw the largest increases. The company attributes this to demand for crossovers for travel and all-wheel-drive pickups used by corporate clients, infrastructure projects, and international organizations.
The Skoda Octavia A8—targeted specifically at the corporate segment—and the Hyundai Staria, designed for group transportation and serving large teams, also accounted for a significant share of the new fleet.
AVIS Ukraine simultaneously expanded its premium segment with the addition of the Volkswagen Touareg R-Line and the Audi A6. The company targets these vehicles primarily at business clients, diplomatic missions, and international organizations.
Diesel vehicles formed the bulk of the new additions—61% of all deliveries. The company attributes this composition to the fuel efficiency of diesel models over long distances and their high demand in the corporate segment.
At the same time, over 15% of deliveries in 2026 consisted of hybrid Toyota RAV4s. In this way, AVIS Ukraine is gradually increasing the share of fuel-efficient vehicles in its fleet.
The company has been operating in the Ukrainian market under the Avis brand since 1997, and under the Payless brand since 2016. It provides short-term car rental services for individuals, as well as operating leases and fleet management for corporate clients.
AVIS is an international provider of car rental and operating lease services, with a presence in 185 countries worldwide.
Raiffeisen Bank has launched financial leasing for business clients in Ukraine and has signed its first agreement under this new initiative with one of Ukraine’s leading agricultural producers, the bank’s press office reported.
Under the first agreement, the agricultural producer will upgrade its fleet of machinery. Going forward, the bank’s clients will be able to use financial leasing to purchase agricultural machinery and equipment, passenger and cargo vehicles, commercial vehicles, and other fixed assets.
“Businesses today need solutions that allow them to continue investing, modernize production, and plan for growth even amid a full-scale war. The launch of financial leasing expands these opportunities for our clients,” said Natalia Gurina, Chair of the Management Board of Raiffeisen Bank.
The bank plans to develop this service for Ukrainian and international companies operating and investing in Ukraine.
The launch of this new instrument draws on the experience of the international Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) group, where financial leasing is already in use in other European markets. Harald Kröger, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Raiffeisen Bank and Head of Structured Finance and Investment Banking at the RBI group, assesses the potential for its development in Ukraine as significant.
As previously reported, in late 2024, the then-Chairman of the Management Board of Raiffeisen Bank, Oleksandr Pysaruk, announced in an interview with the Interfax-Ukraine news agency the financial institution’s intention to resume plans to develop its leasing business in Ukraine. According to him, even before the full-scale war, the bank had already reached an agreement with its shareholder to ramp up the leasing company’s operations and was preparing a corresponding business plan.
At the time, Pysaruk expressed hope that the bank would be able to resume implementing these plans as early as 2025.
Raiffeisen Bank is the largest Ukrainian bank with foreign capital. Since October 2005, the bank has been part of the Austrian banking group RBI. Currently, the Raiffeisen Group owns 68.21% of the bank’s shares, while the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development holds 30%.

As of the end of 2025, Avtokredit Plus’s equity stood at 74.9 million UAH, total assets at 132.2 million UAH, and net income at 4.3 million UAH.

The National Bank of Ukraine has revoked the license of Prosto Leasing LLC to operate as a financial company authorized to engage in financial leasing, according to a statement on the regulator’s website.
The basis for this decision was the second violation within a single year of the mandatory requirement for “Prosto Leasing” to submit to the NBU an assurance report on its annual financial statements (reporting data), namely, a violation of the requirements of the Regulation on the Authorization of Financial Service Providers and the Conditions for Their Operation, approved by NBU Resolution No. 199.
As previously reported, on July 7, 2025, a corrective measure was imposed on the company in the form of a requirement to take steps to eliminate (correct) the violations identified during the supervisory review. The violation was rectified.
In 2026, “Prosto Leasing” committed a repeat violation (its second within a single year): it failed to submit to the National Bank an assurance report on its annual financial statements for 2025.
The decision to impose a corrective measure in the form of license revocation was adopted by the National Bank’s Committee on Supervision and Regulation of Non-Bank Financial Services Markets on July 20, 2026. It takes effect on the date the company is notified of the decision.
