It is planned to build two residential complexes of 50,000 square meters each in Irpin and Borodianka (Kyiv region) in five months, head of the Kyiv regional military administration Oleksandr Pavliuk said in the Telegram channel.
“Thousands of families were left without homes. And our task as representatives of state power is to provide them with new comfortable housing. We have prepared proposals for developers in the region. To solve this ambitious task, we need joint work, synergy of business, local authorities and the state,” Pavliuk said during a meeting with developers in the region on Monday.
Thus, sites have already been selected for the construction of the residential complexes, taking into account the necessary communications and road infrastructure. The project also provides for the construction of bomb shelters, playgrounds and other social infrastructure.

RAUTA HAS DEVELOPED A SANDWICH PANEL CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY THAT ALLOWS TO BUILD HOUSES IN JUST 7 DAYS

The new technology of prefabricated one-story residential buildings makes it possible to provide people with high-quality houses as quickly as possible.
Ruukki sandwich panels are used as load-bearing and envelope structures of houses, which allows to reduce the cost of construction due to the absence of the need to build a frame. At the same time, cottages become highly energy efficient (heat transfer resistance R = 7.43 m2K / W) and durable (lifetime is more than 50 years).
Rauta has developed several practical layouts for sandwich panel cottages ranging from 26 m2 to 139 m2. At the same time, layouts with an area of 26 m2 and 49 m2 can be placed in blocks with common partitions. This solution allows to further reduce the cost of construction, as well as to build settlements for people in dire need of housing as quickly as possible.
“The key goal of this project was to create reliable, functional and energy-efficient houses with the shortest possible construction time,” said Andriy Ozeychuk, Rauta director. “The ergonomics of the layouts are deliberate so that even in a house with an area of only 26 m2, a family of 3-4 people can live comfortably.”

Ukrzaliznytsia plans in 2022 at its own enterprise – Paniutyne Wagon Repair Plant – to build 50 new grain carriages, head of the Ukrzaliznytsia board Oleksandr Kamyshin has said.
“Next year we plan to replenish the fleet of grain carriers, which are in a consistently high demand in the freight market. We are already placing an order at our Paniutyne car repair plant for the manufacture of 50 new-type grain carriages, which are entirely in-house development of the enterprise. We are launching the serial production of these cars,” he said.
He also added that the first best-performing grain carriage was manufactured and put into series production in 2019.
The total fleet of grain carriages of Ukrzaliznytsia is 11,400 units, and the company plans to renew it in the coming years.
To this end, the company has developed a concept for the renewal of the freight car fleet until 2028, according to which, in the next 7 years, in particular, it is planned to build and update almost 15,000 grain carriers, including 3,600 at the enterprises of Ukrzaliznytsia.

Its volume has been increased to 120 cubic meters, while the maximum volume of old grain carriers is 94 cubic meters. The design speed of the car is up to 120 km/h. The car is certified and intended for operation on the railways of Ukraine and the member states of the Rail Transport Council.

FIREFLY AEROSPACE TO BUILD MOON LANDER IN 2023

NASA has confirmed the readiness of the Blue Ghost moon lander of the American company – the developer of rocket and space technology Firefly Aerospace Inc., owned by Ukrainian businessman Max Polyakov, in accordance with the schedule of the Artemis lunar mission – by September 2023. Polyakov’s press service said Firefly Aerospace has reached a milestone in the project by successfully completing the Critical Design Review (CDR) phase of the Blue Ghost moon lander. Completing the CDR paves the way for building the Blue Ghost lander.
According to the Artemis lunar mission schedule, the moon lander is to land in the Mare Crisium lunar basin in September 2023. The module will deliver ten NASA payloads to the lunar surface, as well as several commercial cargoes.
This mission is a harbinger of what we see in the future: the growing number of repetitive lunar maintenance and payload delivery missions that will lay the foundation of the lunar economy. We are honored to demonstrate our ability to provide such services to NASA and our commercial customers, Firefly CEO Thomas Markusic said.
It is noted that the Blue Ghost will monitor the safe delivery of the payload during transit to the Moon and in its orbit, as well as on the surface of the Moon. The vehicles delivered to the surface will investigate the properties of regolith, the geophysical characteristics of the surface, and the interaction of the solar wind and the Earth’s magnetic field. In addition, several demonstrations of key technologies related to navigation and sampling will be conducted during the mission.
The Blue Ghost mission opens up new opportunities for Firefly Aerospace to cooperate with NASA and other partners. We are proud of the high appraisal of our partners from NASA and are glad that we can join such an ambitious international program as Artemis, Max Polyakov said.
In his opinion, the Moon is extremely important for the more distant missions of mankind – it should become a kind of base, a fort, where the necessary resources will be produced in the future.
In such exploration of the Moon we see one of the strategic goals of the company, he added.
