UKRAINE RESUMES INTERNATIONAL RAILWAY COMMUNICATION WITH POLAND

JSC Ukrzaliznytsia from October 10 resumes international railway communication with Poland.
According to the press service of the company, tickets for the Kyiv-Przemysl train will be available from October 1. They can be purchased on the company’s website, in its official chat bot, or at railway station ticket offices.
The Intercity+ train will run with carriages manufactured by Hyundai Rotem.
Earlier, Ukrzaliznytsia has already resumed international railway communication with Austria, Hungary, Slovakia and Moldova.

PRESIDENTS OF POLAND AND UKRAINE TO MEET IN US DURING SESSION OF UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY

During the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), the presidents of Ukraine, Poland, Moldova and the Prime Minister of Georgia will meet, according to the official website of the President of Poland.
According to the published schedule, President of Poland Andrzej Duda and his wife will visit the United States on September 21-24, 2021.
On the first day of the visit, September 21 at 20:00, Duda is scheduled to meet with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu and Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili.

7 UKRAINIANS INJURED IN ACCIDENT IN POLAND

Seven Ukrainians were injured in a road accident involving a minibus in which eight people traveled from Ukraine to Poland.
According to the Ukrainian Embassy in Poland, the accident occurred on Tuesday near Lublin (Poland).
“All the victims were promptly accommodated in four hospitals in Lublin. The state of the victims is of moderate severity,” the embassy’s said on its Twitter account.
A consul is at the hospital to provide consular assistance to the victims. Contacts with relatives are being restored.
The embassy posted on Twitter the hotline in Lublin, the contact numbers of the embassy and the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

UKRAINE RECEIVES 796,400 DOSES OF ASTRAZENECA FROM GREECE, POLAND AND LITHUANIA

On August 16, Ukraine received 100,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine from the Greek government, on August 18, 650,400 doses of the same vaccine from Poland and 46,000 doses from Lithuania as humanitarian aid, the Ministry of Health reported on Facebook.
According to the report, part of the vaccine from these supplies would be used to vaccinate those who should receive the second dose of AstraZeneca, the rest will be distributed between vaccination centers and vaccination points.
AstraZeneca is a COVID-19 vector vaccine manufactured in the EU, UK, South Korea and India. It is approved for emergency use by the World Health Organization and the European Medicines Agency.

DTEK PLANS TO IMPORT COAL FROM KAZAKHSTAN, POLAND, US

DTEK Energy, amid low coal stocks at its TPPs’ warehouses, has begun importing thermal coal from Kazakhstan and is negotiating coal supplies from Poland and the United States, the company’s press service has said.
According to the press service, DTEK Energy is actively looking for opportunities to provide TPPs with additional imported coal.
“Despite the increased demand for coal on global markets, we are actually starting to import it. The first batch from Kazakhstan is already on its way. Next week we expect the start of coal supplies from Poland. We are also negotiating the supply of shiploads from the United States,” CEO of DTEK Energy Ildar Saleev said.
According to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, coal stocks in the warehouses of thermal power plants of five power generating companies (DTEK Dniproenergo, DTEK Zakhidenergo, DTEK Skhidenergo, Centrenergo and Donbasenergo) as of Wednesday morning dropped to 754,000 tonnes, which is almost 500,000 tonnes less than the accumulation schedule approved by the ministry on August 11 (1.237 million tonnes).

7 UKRAINIAN CITIZENS INJURED IN ROAD ACCIDENT IN POLAND

Near the town of Radomsko, Łódź Voivodeship, in Poland, as a result of a road traffic accident, seven citizens of Ukraine were injured.

“On July 24, 21, near Radomsko, Łódź Voivodeship, an accident occurred with the participation of a Volkswagen Transporter minibus and a Nissan car. As a result of the accident, seven citizens of Ukraine were injured, who were taken to medical facilities in Łódź, Radomsko, Piotrków Trybunalski and Częstochowa,” the Ukrainian Embassy in Poland said on Twitter.

The embassy said that as of 16:00 there are six citizens of Ukraine in medical facilities, one citizen was discharged from the hospital.

“The necessary consular assistance is being provided. The case is under the control of the embassy, ​​the State Civil Administration in Kraków and the Department of the Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine,” the embassy said.
